Does Jimmy G need to redeem himself from the SB?

stupid post.
I think we're gonna win a few Super Bowls with Kyle, possibly become a dynasty. Jimmy will be the QB during all of it. This last season's Super Bowl run will be seen as part of the hard work and foreshadowing of what was to come in terms of dominance by Kyle, Jimmy, and Lynch. Growing pains is all it was.

This. The 3rd and 15, the play calling, the refs...it was a total team collapse. If one of those areas doesn't melt down or one of those several plays goes the other way, SF wins. Yes, Jimmy had a bad time to miss a couple, but so did everyone else.

That same 3rd and 15 drive, I think it was Dee or Kwon that had a wobbly pass from Mahomes go right through their hands that would have been a pick 6.
Jimmy was coming off an ACL tear and finished his first full season 13-3 and nearly winning a SB. Its completely ridiculous to criticize him.

Yeah, it's silly how people forget that he came off a torn acl and first year in the offense.

A lot of us are expecting progress in the off season as Jimmy gets more familiar with his receivers and is 1 more year removed from the injury. I'm concerned that the training camps are going to get moved back and shortened which affect the amount of work he can put in.
I like Jimmy's arm talent. I want to see him gain a little discipline when it comes to his eyes. Sometimes he's great at moving the FS with his eyes. Other times, he stairs down his receivers. I think he has a chance to improve the way Matt Ryan did in his second year in the system. While Jimmy's pre-snap reads are pretty good, his post snap reads have a little to be desired. That's what I personally will be looking at with game film. The best post snap reader of defenses is Drew Brees imho.
Jimmy will need to redeem his self as much as Choke Artist Kyle need to as well..

Jimmy needs to apologize for nothing.

Just keep grinding.
No not even a little bit he's an exceptionally talented quarterback

Which play was this? The one where Ward was hurt on the ground and Mahomes was standing over him talking s**t?

Get him better pass protection - it will make a big difference in Jimmy's play.

Need better guards
I dont think Jimmy needs to "redeem" himself, but I do expect his play to get better.

The Jimmy we saw in the regular season was not the Jimmy we saw in the playoffs. Said it before, we didnt need Jimmy to be Joe Montana in the Superbowl. We needed him to be Jimmy G...and he didnt live up to that.

You mean the play where Ward stops Mahomes cold in his tracks, knocking him backyards with the ball flying out as he's trying to score?

Yep. It was a good play. Kind of a weird one to be the best memory, but to each his own.
