I like the thought but the how part is not good. 49ers plan is to build a sustainable success. You build that through draft picks. The 49ers can find that speedster WR in this draft such as Reagor, Duvernay or Bowden on a later rounds.

As they were doing it we were all saying it was just a huge mistake. Nice work, Rams, how not to build a franchise.

And when they lost the SB, they were done. Most of us saw it as a mistake. Your correct. Rams is a recent model on how not to build a franchise.
That's why I like the 49ers franchise state despite losing the SB. 49ers will be back.

I suffered through watching meaningless football games for many years prior to last season and don't want to go through that for atleast another decade. So no I hope they don't bet the farm for 1 or 2 good years. a SB is no guarantee no matter how good the roster is but the more opportunities you get the better the chances are. I want the Niners to be in contention for the next decade. And it's not like we haven't seen the Niners win a SB. They have won 5. This is not like the Sharks where we were ok with them going all-in for that opportunity. And it still didn't happen.

Bet the farm? Hell no.
Figure out a way to get a 2021 first rounder from the Bengals, Jets, Dolphins, or Giants, or Redskins.

Everything hinges on Staley. Even if he retires McGlinchey can go to LT, we have Shone Coleman at RT or Skule or Brunkill. Get best CB and WR in round 1. Do not trade down. Both would be starters and have 5 year contracts. Do not overthink it.
You can draft developmental OL in rounds 5-7.
