Adding another #1 TE??

You can pay two tight ends top of market money. They make significantly less than wideouts. In that regard I don't think trading for engram Or Howard effects a kittle deal at all. But engram when healthy makes us deadly.

I doubt they'll trade kittle he's a guy they drafted, and is the best all around player at his position.

Also on a side note I'm glad we didn't sign hooper he's overrated.

Getting Engram would be a big "get" to take pressure off Kittle and give Jimmy yet another reliable receiver who gets open, makes plays and will help keep defenses honest. Question is, what's the cost?

Unless Lynch is planning to trade Kittle (because we wont sign him just like Bucko) along our 13th and 31st to Washington so that we can draft CHASE YOUNG !!!

Dont need Engram for many reasons. Get someone from the draft.

But 49ers need another one to preserve Kittle and create more miss matches.

This is my conspiracy theory. Lynch is a master of keeping contract negotiations down to staying confidential. NO ONE, knew that Buckner wanted too much money and showed no interest in resigning with the 9ers. This shocked me and the world. With mcaffrey getting big $$ I am sure Kittle is looking for the moon and probably deserves it. The problem is the Niners have him for one more year at 2 million ( a higher salary because of his production). They can franchise tage him twice and still he will be cheaper than a contract now.

With all my heart I believe they have traded contrtacts and they are very very far apart. That is the ONLY reason why I think they lookied at Austin Hooper and now Evan Engram.

Kittle was a fifth round pick, as was Brent Jones. very few 1st rounders pan out and dominate. Kelce was a third rounder. The TE out of UCLA can probably be had in round 4, if the niners trade down they can pickhim up then, the portland state TE can be in round 5. Go with the draft and hope they can resign kittle

they have Golden Tate, Slayton and Sterling Shepard. Don't think adding Goodwin makes sense for them.

...and why would Tampa do that now when they just got a QB who loves to use his TE?? even if I'm OJ, why would I wanna go to SF and be behind Kittle when I can be Kittle here in Tampa w/some guy name Tom at QB..

Tampa's the one that said he's on the block. I'm not saying there getting a great return by switching draft spots but if Lynch offers when we're on the clock it's a possibility.

i think we should just draft shaun beyer from iowa on day three... we had good luck with kittle so lets go back to that well

Engram isn't a #1 TE. He hasn't proven anything yet. Adding him would be a weapon for sure, but would have almost no effect on Kittle's future IMO.

Kittle loves being a Niner and I'm sure he's not going to ask for boat load of money because he knows that would messed up the team dynamic.
