True but were very low on picks and if we get some extra ones trading back our first rounders I think the buccs would want around a 3rd rounder or so

Bucs have little leverage. They have Gronk, they have Brate, everyone knows Howard needs to be moved, and seemingly has to be moved before the draft. I think recouping their 4th would make them happy. I'm offering up a fifth.

The problem is Howard might cost 8-10 million with his next contract. In Kyle Shanahan system you know he will do well so his price will definitely go up by the time he has to be extended

His cap hit is more around 3.5-4m right now and that is manageable for a guy like him. If he "might" cost 8-10 million on his next deal then I would like this trade even more. In order to be worth 8-10 that'd mean he'd have to earn it, on the 49ers(?), playing for less. That sounds good to me. Having said that, there will be lots of teams checking in on his availability right now so I think the asking price is going to be too steep for the 49ers.

Putting my money on OJ Howard from the Bucs, before Engram. With Gronk now a Buc (saw this domino fall Monday night), Howard is expendable with Brate being " Aaron Hernandez" to gronk and Brady. A low pic, a swap of pics, or a straight up trade (Breida, Bourne, Coleman???) for this guy is what I see happening if we get him. BTW- The salaries wud cancel eachother in a trade, and if it were a guy like Coleman, we'd save almost $2M..

I think the idea of going with another kittle type instead of a #1 WR is a great idea. The thing that strikes me as strange, however, is that so many are enamored with a high draft pick for TE or a traded for a TE. That is strange because I think it will be very hard to get Dwelley off the field. He showed he had all the makings last yr and this yr i expect him to beat out all that comes his way.

I wonder if Hurd can essentially be the 2nd TE?

Hurd as the H-back probably. But Shanny definitely needs a solid #2 TE. With the way Kittle plays, I expect him to miss a game or two each season. They need a effective backup to fill in for spot duty.

Well Howard is out of the picture now given the lack of draft capital. Still hoping for Dalton Keene.

Anybody who has seen his film sure thinks so. Include me in that group. But really i expect Dwelley to take the starting TE 2 position . And i think he deserves it. We'll know soon enough, but right now i want them to be thinking interior OL until we get some bodies in to look at them....draft, UDFA, and trade.

I think he can make the conversion. Plus I think he has the physicality to turn into an ok blocker at TE.
Delanie?
