Completely agree, I remember when they interviewed Lynch at home after the pick and he continued to say how happy Kocurek was.

I know there's been a lot of talk about the Niners draft busts. There's also a lot of talk about injuries of which this team has had more than their share. However, I watch a lot of sports, mainly college and pro football, NBA and MLB. This injury issue isn't unique to the Niners or the NFL. It seems like teams in all sports at all levels are experiencing a lot of injuries. This is someing that's been going on for a few years now.
There's been speculation that NFL players get hurt more now because players are so big. They get too muscular which makes them susceptible to strains and tears. The bones can only take so much stress.
I see the same thing in other sports. Look at MLB players and NBA players today and then look at them in the 80s. The body types are completely different. Not surprisingly, both of thse sports suffer a lot of injuries. It seems like I see way more baseball players missing significant time than I used to, especially star players.
I don't know if there's a connection between size and injuries or it's the way they train now. Less hitting in football camps. Less throwing for pitchers. Fewer days of training. Then there's the supplements that I have long suspected. Whether legal or illegal they may cause long term damage to tendons and ligaments. Even over use of NSAIDs can cause cartilage to degenerate over time.
Maybe it's a combination of all those things. Whatever is going on, sports medicine specialists need to find the cause. Way too many good players with big contracts are spending time on the IR.

Kyle asking Kocurek if he's watched tape on anyone else and he said, no (because he was too enamored with him) and Kyle laughing about it. Dude wanted him BAD!

Good post! Best served in the injury thread but there's a ton of truth to it. It's incredibly frustrating.

Some people on here really tried to downplay him not being on the field during training camp.
So far, this has been a f**king terrible pick.

So we were warned Reuben Foster had some maturity/character concerns. Rolled the dice and it didn't work out. We were warned that Javon Kinlaw had degenerative knee issues. Rolled the dice and it isn't working out. I hope Lynch stops playing with dice.

Picked an undersized 3T with no edge rush skills to play 5T, and it didn't work out.
