Any player that can change what a defense has to do before the ball is snapped has worth that goes beyond his stats.
Not only does CMC produce.....but he alters defenses. Same with Deebo.
BA is a heck of a player, but I seriously doubt defenses will ever think of letting CMC, Kittle or Deebo run free...because come hell or high-water they have to layer the defense to limit BA.
BA is a good player, but he has not even matched peak Brandon Lloyd yet.
This is an absurd statement. By age 25, Aiyuk was an All Pro. By 25, Brandon Lloyd's best year was 700 yards and 5 TDs. "Peak" Brandon Lloyd was at age 29, so Aiyuk has plenty of time to catch him. He already matched his number of of All Pro seasons in his career.
Sure you can throw caveats at the statement..... but I clearly used the word PEAK.... I did not say anything about age, or snaps, or years in the NFL.
How absurd can it be if it is 100% accurate and truthful as written?
BA wants 30 million a year, and he has not yet matched the high-water mark of Brandon Lloyd... True or False?

which will create a major decision point for him - he's made $12M his entire career - so he's probably taken home about $5.5M, over the course of 4 years - he has most likely spent a decent amount of that on just life.
so his wallet will take a major beating if he starts incurring a bunch of fines.

Because its a disingenuous comparison. Thats why. And even still, I would argue that Aiyuk's 2023 season was better than Lloyd's 2010. At least more impressive all things considered.

For one, Lloyd needed almost 50 more targets for 100 more yards.

Fair enough and valid, and I think Ayiuk is infinitely better, but every other measurable shows Loyd's was better on paper .

Take this to the Brandon Lloyd thread

just keep him an let him rot.
tag him twice, let him sit.....and rot.
And don`t budge and trade him. Simply let him sit for 3 years making +20 Million less in total than what we offered.
And afterwards his market will be ruined anyways.
Tell him thats what he will face. Stop negotiating. Before he leaves the room explain it to him again, like one does to a 6 year old.
So to make sure he gets what he did to the full extend.
He will be an afterthought in 3 years, wonder if anyone would sign him anyways.

I wonder why the 49ers just don't put him on PUP
Wouldnt they have to pay his salary?
Not sure how that works. He's on the roster. I'm guessing the fines he's incurring for not practicing is probably larger than his salary? Odd situation.
