I like that Lynch said "At some point you've got to play". We played nice and tried to be fair sound like the gloves are coming off
If BA doesn't play Cowing Pearsall, Jennings will pick up the slack.
If Trent doesn't play its good for 5/6 losses

I know a lot of the animosity to BA and TW will likely disappear once they sign, but man, if their absence costs the team any games it'll be real hard for me to get over.
This dude is something. The guys are true pros and would never say a distraction and would say they understand it's his money but bs. I doubt it. This has to be a huge distraction. Trent too but his hasn't been going on as long as he stays out of the press.

It's game planning time and he and Trent putting a huge wrench in. Maybe this is the handicap the Jets needed to win.

So I read it is like 6k each for a missing practice in an escalating scale and can get to 45k for missing team activities.

The 49ers can also suspend him without pat for 4 weeks for conduct detrimental to the team.

yeah I read/heard the same thing. I think the team views that as a worst case scenario but Aiyuk is forcing their hand at this point by not practicing or preparing to play.

based on how much he's made - which is really $5.5M or so at "take home". It would be hard for him to eat all these fines and miss game chances.

he would make more this year than he has his entire career combined, so far.

What was better about it?

For one, Lloyd needed almost 50 more targets for 100 more yards.

Fair enough and valid, and I think Ayiuk is infinitely better, but every other measurable shows Loyd's was better on paper .

Take this to the Brandon Lloyd thread

Please

Huh? They're comparing Aiyuk to another player,...what's the issue?

We dont want repetitive "Aiyuk tears" posts to get less traction?

NFL with us and Jerrah pissed about CeeDee and Dak should just put in a new rule :

Player can ask for an early extension, but if terms can't be met. Play under the contract you signed or banned for life in the nfl. You signed the deal. Good luck in Canada.

I also think they will finally use Kittle on a regular basis. Fans have been complaining about Kittle being underused in the passing game for the last couple years now. I also think CMC could have a 1000 yard receiving year if they truly wanted him to. He came close once.

Even if BA resigns, this likely won't be the end of the rollercoaster between himself and the team. The dude will likely be unhappy again in a few years as the cost for WRs continues to blow up and his contract doesn't reflect the current WR market anymore. Additionally, I can't imagine the team wants to go through this again in a few years if they reach an agreement on a shorter deal similar to what Deebo got.

It's whatever with Trent. The man is likely playing in his last season and trying to cash out one last time.
When BA was faking the back injury to avoid fines, Lynch should have said " We are not going to pay a bunch of money to somebody with back issues. We went through that with Dee Ford and Jalen Hurd"

The Niners gave him that excuse because they didn't want to fine him.

Now they want to fine him.

And that's only because they feel he is being unreasonable. They didn't do that with Bosa because they knew they were making progress.
thankfully the early schedule is soft if the holdouts continue. next man up. We still have good players, maybe not a 1 seed without those two, but a playoff team no doubt.
I know one thing; this is the LAST time I listen to Desean Jackson.

Yeah, the niners were "being nice" because they could have made his life a living hell. Now he's really on their realm - it's time to make hard decisions. Either play on the fifth year, sign the extension, or essentially be bankrupted.

the fines he can be subject to, and the money he will lose this year, will cripple his personal finances. Trent doesn't need anything, he's already very rich. Aiyuk doesn't have that kind of security.

like I said before - Aiyuk has taken home approx $5.5M over the last four years. Deduct every penny he has spent since he's been in the league, that's what he has left. Best case - maybe $2.5M.

niners can fine that into submission and cripple him. He will miss out on more money than he's ever made his whole career just this year. So his leverage is essentially over cause I don't see any team offering a good enough trade package at this point.
