The attention needs to shift over to Trent, he's the one we really need. BA can play out his contract for the 14mil, or sit out.

I'd imagine the Niners are way ahead of you.

I'd imagine that too but it doesn't sound like it, BA is still not practicing with only 1 week to go and Trent is MIA.

Because our beloved 49ers are playing hardball with two of their really good players…yet no one is pointing the figure at them for letting it get to this pt.

both sides suck right now.

Trade they azz

Stop being emotional about it. He clearly wants to be here or he would have gone to Cleveland or NE.

how about the team pays their all-pro WR instead of doing nothing for months? Just pay him and move on. Same with Trent. They're both valuable pieces to this roster.

players are people not machines. Teams move off players all the damn time even when they "want to be in SF" or "cares about the team" teams cut players all the damn time…even when they're still under contract.

But they are trying to pay him and he says no I deserve more and the front office is like no.

That's not what happened at all, Warner took a cheap shot at an undrafted WR and Ayiuk came to his defense. The misinformation you like to spread about this guy is comical 🤣

Wrong(again--usual L for you). Fred had been getting on his ass for multiple practices. Aiyuk even called Fred "annoying" days before the fight, and then it came to a head.

Keep b******tting like always

They eventually managed to separate Warner and Aiyuk. But a few minutes later, Warner popped receiver Marcus Johnson after a catch on a crossing pattern. Aiyuk, who wasn't even in for that play, charged in to confront Warner. He squared up with both fists, as did Warner

I agree that those are his options - the only viable trade I see happening would be Cleveland, cause of cooper, but Aiyuk doesn't want to go.

The fines will do 1 of 2 things - make Aiyuk mad and he digs his feet in more (doesn't play) or he plays on the fifth year. MAYBE he chooses to accept the cle offer but idk it's just weird.

a weird annoying situation and I think it got worse cause I think Aiyuk wants more now that lamb got paid. Im sorta over it - I really hope Conley plays well and we get Trent back soon. Real soon.

I mean from my understanding those fines can't be waived off.
Pretty sure 5th year can be waived.

Think we learned that with Bosa

Trents is b******t but he's getting a pass cause he's the goat OT. We front loaded his contract cause we had the cash and now he gets to the non guaranteed years and holds out if he wasn't so f**king good and important I would be real upset but since he's Trent I say give him what he wants.

then they should pull their offer now... I'm sure 9ers FO has an internal deadline, but that deadline should be now

pull whatever offer they have, tell BA he's either playing on the 5th year option, holding out, or accepting a trade - no long-term deal from us

and then extend Trent immediately
extend Deebo for 2 years now, before he holds out next off-season for $40/yr
extend Lenoir now (before he has the monster season everyone is predicting)
and then give Juszcyzk a mil or two back - for his loyalty and because he's essentially our #2 TE (and the depth behind Kittle is garbage)

Cowing, Pearsall, Conley as a platoon would be enough of band aid at the WR position

and I said this months ago in a different thread, but I would also go after Haason Reddick - give him 2 years/ $50m... his contract will be up by the time Purdy's big numbers really kicks in.
our pass rush depth is basically nothing behind Bosa and Floyd... YGM has never had more than 5 sacks in a season, over a 4 year career. And Beal has 1 career sack.

You know they probably already approached Demo about an extension. He's betting on himself(as he should) to have a big season to get the bag next off season.
Hello all! New guy here. I'm 44. Been a 49er fan since I was 5.

I have an honest question. If the 49ers found a team that was willing to trade for BA given the current situation and everything involved, regardless if he plays and or doesn't play, signs and or doesn't signs, can they trade him? If the 49ers own his rights, isn't that all that matters? They can trade him to any team they please can't they?

Welcome to the WZ. Teams will usually want to have a contract extension worked out with the player they are trading for. So they would be the hang up if the 49ers were to okay a trade to another team.

They're clearly not paying either guy appropriately, if that was the case we wouldn't be where we are right now

Nah Trent just changing the rules on a contract his ass signed and now wants it amended. Aiyuk can say he's worth more money but we set his value for our team and there's clearly a disagreement.
