All I'm using is the legit info out there. A whole bunch of you are getting upset when that gets brought up and want to defend your narrative.

again if they didn't think he's worth what he wants then they should have traded him when teams like DC was offering the 36th overall pick in the last draft.

No I've always maintained that and All Pro WR would warrant a top 15 draft pick this past draft or equivalent package or no deal

So he's worth a top 15 pick but he's not worth a top contract? Can't have it both ways man

He didn't say anything about paying him. Also, not all top 15 picks are worth a top contract. Attitude goes into decisions and BA has been whining since during the season. He is free to go get paid when he is a free agent. Or he can go to a team that gives the 49ers what they are looking for a long with a contract BA is looking for.

Not many people are agreeing with you. Why do you feel the need to explain your position to everyone in here?

We get it and we don't care

They have him under contract on a good team. They can afford to keep him this season because eventually, he will have to play and when he plays, he isn't going to dog it because he wants to make a lot of money on his new contract.

They also drafted for this scenario and also gave him a price they are good with.

They are also willing to trade him and let him talk to teams. They were good with 2 of the 3 deals offered, and he didn't agree.

49ers will be fine. BA might end up losing millions in the long run. He isn't some game changer teams will wait a year or 2 for just to pay.

Yeah because their plan is working fantastic currently.

He doesn't have to plan for 10 weeks if he doesn't want too. You think his worth in a trade will be more or less if he does that?

they drafted a WR because they very will could be losing BA AND Deebo next yr. You're out of you mind if you think Deebo is stepping on the field without a new deal next yr.

I've said whatever let him sit out at this pt, I agree there. I wouldn't trade him now either. Makes no sense.

Fans want to think SF did everything right in this situation and I disagreed. That's all.

It takes 2. They did right for themselves and contracts going forward

Name me a player that was traded for a top 15 pick due for an extension, that didn't get paid a top end contract. Acting like those a separate things is silly.

you can't command elite compensation and then in the same breath say he's not worth elite money.

most people don't agree with me because they're emotional fans who can't be objective here. We've gotten to the point where we think the best insiders that we trust and use as sources all the time are lying and we can't use them…because of feelings lol.

Nobody cares about what you are saying.

They currently have two of their best players not getting ready to play WK1 in a SB or bust season….that's not doing it right for anyone.

Obviously you dont, and I never said anything wasn't true what I said was that you know everything and clearly you think you do.

You mocked me for no reason over me saying they didn't speak to him for a couple months.

I then presented a legit report and instead of saying oh my bad guess that was a thing. You talked about some self-awareness b******t.
I mocked you because of your incessant need to constantly push your narrative as fact on others that didn't share your take on the matter because you seem to think you're the smartest person in the room.

And when you claim others pick & chose what to believe based on whether or not it fits their narrative while you yourself are doing that very thing clearly you lack self awareness or maybe you're just a hypocrite.

AND? They lost with those 2 and they are not paying them so they can keep being competitive. They don't want the bust part.

I'll trust them over you

they report as it happens, is that hard to grasp? They didn't talk from May-July 16. unless we're not allowed to use any NFL reporters as sources now?

god forbid this team didn't do something right. No one that could be a thing

But you presenting the team "ghosted" him and taking it as gospel is oddly naive. I think if any of us were a fly in the wall in these negotiations we could point out things both sides did that contributed to where we are now

I'm not a 49ers management defender by default. Players should get every dime they can out of billionaire owners.

But I do feel I'm pretty objective as I see these things when they happen. It's easy for me to believe the niners played hardball up front. I think that is their job to get as good a deal for the team as possible. With that said, history has shown us that our management does pay good money to players. So, it's hard for me to believe they haven't issued a good contract to aiyuk.

I hope we find a way to keep him

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Saying the 9er management has no fault in any of these is a homer take.

The player is under contract....the player refuses to report.....

Management has no fault in this.....

They offered what they could offer, based on the business model they are using.

If they loose BA next year, that is not the 49ers fault....there is a salary cap....you can not 100% pay everyone what you would like to pay them.

In the mean time...the player is held out, not locked out....that is 100% the players fault....

I'm taking it as a legit report from one of the most reliable insiders in the NFL. Someone that we all use in here.

I agree history does show we get things done. It also usually happens extremely late in the off season for whatever reason. I'm also not saying they haven't had negotiations with him since they met in mid July. I don't find it absurd that they might have ghosted him for a couple months after that first offer.

My issue is people want to poo poo a report (which he said a couple times) because they simply don't want it to be true. Then in the process get mad and mock me lol. Like relax. I didn't report it lol…I just brought up the report.
