goodbye in '25:
Deebo, Lenoir/Ward, Greenlaw, Hufanga, Banks... at least 3, maybe 4 of those guys

especially with Cowing looking good, Pearsall coming...
there's not much behind OL - feels like we need to keep Banks
we finally have two legit starting CBs
Greenlaw is our enforcer, I like the young guys, but they're not him
Hufanga still might be the second coming of Troy P... we don't know yet... he had Wilkes and an injury last year, all-pro in his second season before that, won a playoff game in his rookie year on STs
and Deebo changes opposing team's gameplans, he opens things up for everyone else and is almost underrated because of that

sorry to be the downer at the party

edit: happy for this year though

Holy overreaction lol

Hmm well we are almost def losing banks and ward. If huf returns to all pro form then we may not be able to afford him.

I think the most likely ones we resign will be demo and greenlaw and greenlaw will be more affordable cause he's coming off a major injury and probably won't return to form before the seasons over - making him easier to resign

You're referencing much more serious team undermining style of leaks. This is more of an unnecessary gaffe. Unnecessary because the vast majority of fans are not going to pick a side and just be happy a deal is done.

I will tell every 49ers fan this: You are crazy if you don't think the team leaks information to their perceived benefit. Every team does this. It is a good tactic when used smartly and we certainly aren't immune to employing it.

Season starts in a week and a half, hopefully the sanity returns with it.

no one was saying Trade Bosa

Yeah, cool story. Flip back to this time last year in that thread and get back to me on that.

Aiyuk's agent.

Our team shouldn't have put that info out, but whatever… deal is done.

You know exactly why the team did it. Lmao let future players know - there is no benefit to holding in like he did. Your best offer will be there already…. Unless of course your bosa caliber.

trying to set precedent
that's a pretty big lie to say/do that.

Players have agents and don't need the media to find this stuff out

Doesn't matter if it's true or not - anyways, if you don't think so - that's fine. Lol I think it's obvious but agree to disagree. No biggie
how's it obvious, all the details come out after. why would they say that s**t when the details are going to come out lol

Huh? Are you saying the details of all the previous deals they offered will be leaked out so they can prove that the final deal signed wasn't the same one since Aug 10?

are we talking about the same thing? I'm talking about the team putting out the info that Aiyuk signed the same deal they put on the table Aug 10 - saying that his long hold in and fines amounted to nothing more than they already offered.

i believe that's the team trying to set a precedent to other plays that says holding in isn't going to get you a better deal and it'll cost you money instead. It also is a way to tell the fans that "we won the final part of negotiations by him signing what we offered nearly a month ago".

who knows if that is true or not but it makes sense why the 49ers would want that spin out there. They don't want other players thinking they can attempt what Bosa and Aiyuk just did and that they'll be better off for it. That Bosa was a unique situation cause he's a great player. Etc etc
I'm just saying everything comes out after the signing. like whatever the holdup was comes out.

smokey and i are the sources lmao

You have to be bonkers to think teams don't do this. If you've ever worked in corp America - you'd know it's cut throat and ego driven. "It's just business" and whatever they deem will help the business, is what will be done.

I studied politics with a healthy mix of public relations, lol.

it could be just Adam being unnecessary also, i just can't see the 49ers saying this when the truth to that comes out later (this case instantly)

didnt this say aug 10 earlier? Lol
