I have to say I like Spencer Burford less.

I have much more disdain for Ambry and Burford. Lol I don't hate Aiyuk at all - I just hope he continues to ball.

You realize you were arguing with us about different things than we were talking about, right?

we were talking about the leak of info saying "Aiyuk signed the same deal that's been on the table for weeks". I guess you're just talking about how details come out after. Idk how that has anything to do with what Smokey and I were talking about.

we were talking about why the team would link info like that and you're talking about the details of the contract - two very different things.

I didn't look at that comment as directed at our argument honestly.

Jed actually puts a lot of money in escrow for these big deals that other owners(i.e. Bengals) won't do. I feel like Jed is very underrated this aspect.

True. Persal at least they havent even really seen practice yet. But that report makes it seem like Aiyuk was gone if we could have gotten any mediocre WR as part of the package. Doesnt Really scream a whole lot of trust in the WRs you got on the roster either.
you think there's not much trust in the WRs if they trade Aiyuk for any mediocre WR?

Well lets look at it like this. The WRs struggled to get seperation with Purdy this preseason. The reports of some struggles in the passing game this training camp. The fact that we kept, what was it 7 WRs on the roster? Giving 30 million to Ayiuk but being willing to trade him, only if given a WR back in return. On paper I think are WR group is a amazing group so maybe i am completely wrong on this one. Regardless it doesn't matter now as we got Aiyuk.

Im amazed by the stupidity on this board. Its embarrassing.

goodbye in '25:
Deebo, Lenoir/Ward, Greenlaw, Hufanga, Banks... at least 3, maybe 4 of those guys

especially with Cowing looking good, Pearsall coming...
there's not much behind OL - feels like we need to keep Banks
we finally have two legit starting CBs
Greenlaw is our enforcer, I like the young guys, but they're not him
Hufanga still might be the second coming of Troy P... we don't know yet... he had Wilkes and an injury last year, all-pro in his second season before that, won a playoff game in his rookie year on STs
and Deebo changes opposing team's gameplans, he opens things up for everyone else and is almost underrated because of that

sorry to be the downer at the party

edit: happy for this year though

Holy overreaction lol

Hmm well we are almost def losing banks and ward. If huf returns to all pro form then we may not be able to afford him.

I think the most likely ones we resign will be demo and greenlaw and greenlaw will be more affordable cause he's coming off a major injury and probably won't return to form before the seasons over - making him easier to resign

To be fair, we were likely going to lose Banks regardless. With the way the mguard market has blown up the last couple of years - and this team just does not pay guards that kind of money. Which is why leaving Kingston unprotected makes even less sense.

  1. Puni will probably replace Banks or another cheap option. Losing Kingston isn't that big of a deal

Why should they? JJ and Deebo aren't man beaters. Only so much scheming KS can. Need a guy who can just get open

their dips**t GM really thought he could fleece us. Hilarious. Hope the guy feels like a complete fool

No....comments like this are embarrassing.

If the Broncos agreed to trade Courtland for a 3rd, Aiyuk would be a Steeler. So, he wasn't a dipsh*t. He was close to acquiring a top WR for a 2nd and 3rd. It could have easily gone his way.

They weren't gonna trade him for pocket change unless things couldn't be salvaged.

i think you guys were more focused on who gave that info out, when i was saying 49ers don't need to lie in this case.

Why they won't lie, because all the details come out after

We're definitely in agreement that they didn't need to put that info out. That's precisely why it's a gaffe.

For clarity, I'm not saying they're lying or telling the truth.

Again, there is no incentive for any other party to put this out.
