THIS
I really do think this was a big part of it. He and his agent loved it all. He was talked about almost everyday in all the sports media shows and his name was always trending on X.
He made a behind the scenes doc, right? Will be interesting if that gets released
lol that would be great. I'd pay to watch that.
maybe one day we will see it and we will know what the final hold up was - assuming reports were right that nearly everything was negotiated.
Watch it's something stupid like Brandon had a vacation he was planning so he didn't want to miss it cause he was at camp. Lol

Huh? Are you saying the details of all the previous deals they offered will be leaked out so they can prove that the final deal signed wasn't the same one since Aug 10?
are we talking about the same thing? I'm talking about the team putting out the info that Aiyuk signed the same deal they put on the table Aug 10 - saying that his long hold in and fines amounted to nothing more than they already offered.
i believe that's the team trying to set a precedent to other plays that says holding in isn't going to get you a better deal and it'll cost you money instead. It also is a way to tell the fans that "we won the final part of negotiations by him signing what we offered nearly a month ago".
who knows if that is true or not but it makes sense why the 49ers would want that spin out there. They don't want other players thinking they can attempt what Bosa and Aiyuk just did and that they'll be better off for it. That Bosa was a unique situation cause he's a great player. Etc etc
It will look something like 26m per over 3 years....with a 4th year that pushes it to 30 per.
The team probably views it as a 3 year deal. 5th year option plus 3 year deal for 4 years with a 5th throw away year
If what he signed infact was the "deal on the table".....
Who knows though.....with 76 mil in hard money...that is 3 years at 25m guaranteed.

You are more stup....I mean naive than I thought if you think that we can keep this core with Purdy, Williams, Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, CMC, Bosa, Warner and probably Lenoir getting top money.
Well, reading your other posts I wouldn't be surpsrised if you really believe it
They can keep a core of Purdy, CMC, Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Trent, Bosa, Hargrave, Warner, Dre, Ward & Lenoir making $10m or more a yr on average, the Eagles have 12 players making $10m or more a yr, QB Hurts at $51m thru 2028, WR Brown at $32m thru 2029, WR Smith at $25m thru 2028, LT Mailata at $22m thru 2028, IOL Dickerson at $21m thru 2028, RT Johnson at $20m thru 2026, EDGE Huff at $17.033m thru 2026, TE Goedert at $14.25m thru 2025, CB Slay at $13m thru 2026, CB Bradberry at $12.666m thru 2025, RB Barkley at $12.583m thru 2026, & EDGE Sweat at $10m thru 2024, so if the Eagles can do it then so can the 49ers do something like this on long term deals, WB Brock at $55m, RB CMC at $19m, WR Aiyuk at $30m, WR Deebo at $23.85m, TE Kittle at $15m, LT Trent at $28.5m, DE Bosa at $34m, IDL Hargrave at $21m, MLB Warner at $19.045m, WLB Greenlaw at $10m, CB Ward at $20m & CB Lenoir at $10m that comes to $250.532m a yr for PHI vs $285.395m a yr for SF but the Eagles will have to extend Goedert, p,us whoever else they have on the team who is up & coming, plus Trent likely won't be around past 2026, so this is indeed doable, thanks to the fact that the cap is going to explode every yr, it won't go up by only $4.6m in 2025 not when it went up by $30,6m this yr.

Yeah, the eagles kicked a lot of hurts salary cap super far in the future with a bunch of bonus mechanisms. In like his first 4 years he doesn't even have more than 31m in a single season. Hurts only counts $13M against the cap this year.
I imagine Brock's contract will be similar in that his cap hit won't become huge for the first handful of years.

cause our owner dishes out a ton of cash to help make it work on the salary cap. Dudes spent like $500M in the last 3 years in signing bonuses lol
They don't skip Bayless. Your team is managed by a complete dumbass

that would of been a really dumb thing to do. I don't think a single fan would of been happy or liked it.

In 2023, 98 QB/WR combos had 50 or more targets together. #49ers QB Brock Purdy had a QBR of 95 when targeting WR Brandon Aiyuk. That ranked 2nd out of the 98 combos.

Keeping that duo together for the long haul was clearly a priority.

Aiyuk and a third for a second and Sutton isn't completely terrible IF Shanny could get him back to playing like he did before he was injured. Cooper and Cleveland's second and fifth was a great deal though.
I still like the way it worked out better though.

He's clearly the most important WR to Purdy. Brock has the best chemistry with him and he is the guy he looks for in a crunch the most.
