Plenty of teams to chase after him hoping they can give him the structure to push him over the edge (or at least send their franchise in a positive direction). Steelers, Jets, Giants, Raiders, Titans, Seahawks, Rams, Cardinals, Bucs, Panthers, Saints (they are crazy enough to blow up the roster to do it). I've even heard others mention the 49ers as a possible destination by some Purdy haters.
This MF better perform. For all the GD drama he had better effing perform. Im so GD sick and tired of hearing his name for s**t that's not game related that I had better start hearing it for on-the-field actions. This fan is disgusted with the way he's handled this whole thing.
Kirk cousins has proven you can be an absolute career loser, winning 1 playoff game in 10+ years, and still make a s**tload of $$ as even an average qb

I predict he will go over 1,500 yards and 13TDs.

Deebo and Bosa had a subpar year after they got paid. I don't think Aiyuk will go over whar he did last year. *One* reason is he got his contact. He won't be as hungry as last year when he knew he was playing for his 2nd contract.

I think that was more to do with them holding out and missing OTS's and Training Camp than any loss of motivation.

This is all very very interesting.

If Brandon does have an early season slump, the media will be all over him.

But if he plays like last year straight off the bat, the media will say "that's money well paid by the 49ers, gee no wonder John Lynch is GM of the year etc etc"

The way the 9ers offense if set up, BA has a specific role that no one else can play.

My biggest thing will be to see how he blocks down field. Brandon is one of the best blockers at WR in the game and if BA still has that tenacity to block then I know the money belt he is now wearing ain't gonna slow him down.

did he want ceedee lamb money? 33+ apy?

also lets sign brock purdy as early as possible and for whatever he wants before some stupid QB out there becomes the highest paid QB and resets the market.

Watch him drop the first pass thrown to him.

I was fine when it was 100M and these guys were making under 10M a year.

Pretty soon you can't go to a game for under $1K. If TV games become PPV that will be it.

Almost 19,000 posts - and just HOW MANY of them are nothing but an emoji? Your insight is amazing....
I'm happy to keep a top 20 type receiver in Aiyuk, and would like to think he'll just get better, but I still need to see more specifics about the true nature of his deal before I can draw a real conclusion. On the surface, I don't care really what the market says, because every team is built differently. I think if you're getting $30M per year at that position, you should be pulling down 1500+ yards and 10+ TD's....unless your surrounding talent is a 6-pack of ass. There are other positions that are more worthy of spending money than WR, and UNO, I believe SF overpaid for Aiyuk.

At the end of the day, it's not my money.

I woke up to the signing news, and started thinking the same thing.

I was thinking, a 2020 "D-Hop" season is in order. In case you forgot, "Nuk" caught everything thrown his way - didn't drop a pass.

I was also wondering:
I'm sure those that love BA (no matter what), will not be affected - then again, I can't help but think about the segment of fans put off by
how he handled the negotiations, and won't purchase any #11 gear !?

Since NFL players receive compensation from the sales of jerseys and t-shirts bearing their numbers, I wonder how much sales will fall off? Fans can be petty AF at times, and 49ers Fans are no different. Considering all the Drama, there are bound to be some that will harbour ill feelings against Aiyuk because of how he's handle the process in general.

Per the current NFL CBA, players receive two-thirds of the proceeds from those sales; the remaining third goes to the NFLPA. That money is then pooled, and distributed among all players ensuring that even those who don't sell many jerseys still receive some compensation.

Should be an interesting 2024 season for him … time will tell 🤔

Great news to have Brandon Aiyuk finally signed long term. It's a good news for the Niners, for Brandon Aiyuk and for Brock Purdy.
Walked out? lol. What a child. Watch this dumbass get hurt.

  • Topline of $134.125 Million over 5 years with the extension adding $120 Million over 4 years. $76 Million guaranteed.
  • $47 Million paid through April 1, 2025. This includes the 2024 Salary, a 2024 Signing Bonus, and a 2025 Option Bonus.
  • $90 Million paid through the first three years.

We'll bank on him trying to do what Trent is doing in 2-3 years from now before he hits his 30s and wants more money… if he continues playing how he has. Lol

This is my only concern with us giving him so much money up front. There's no doubt we will be going through this all over again in two years.

Top 20 🤣 the league completely disagrees with you.

the market thinks you're completely wrong and WRs actually matter in today's football. Sorry it's the truth.

Ja'Marr Chase has never has 1,500+ 10+ in a season, so he clearly isn't worth it. Randy moss only did that once in his career. Calvin Johnson only twice.

Every really good player does this. They want assurance in those later yrs that they have actual money and protection from being cut.

If he continues to ball out just give him a shorter extension. Philly did it with AJ Brown this off season. In fact Philly is always doing that for their good players. It's part of the reason they can continue to have so many highly paid players on their roster.
