Ehh, I definitely wouldn't call Jeudy and CeeDee's first games "great." Jeudy is nasty with his releases, but he also does too much dancing at times. It eats up precious seconds and can throw off the timing on a throw. It could become problematic on certain down and distances where you need a WR to quickly separate. Pettis has this exact issue.

Agree -- as does Trent Taylor, and according to Kyle, that's what screwed up the play on 4th down to end the game.

he was gonna start based on how he practiced all training camp, regardless of guys getting hurt.

And that's a mistake. Those who are expecting this guy to be the second coming of Jerry Rice or Terrell Owens are going to be severely disappointed.
Who is expecting that?
People arent saying that, but they are expecting him to be a difference maker and big part of the offense this year. I cant understand how anyone could logically have that opinion before even seeing him play a game, but here we are.

This is a double-edged sword. There are going be times where it's the bane of a play.

Jeudy looked smooth. Like a real wide reciever. You know what else? He looked like a DIVA. What the hell were those antics. The locker room doesn't need that. Thanks.

Several qualities that he has and has demonstrated point in that direction, no? Nothing is a sure thing in the NFL, but in this case, optimism is not irrational, is it?Originally posted by SteveWallacesHelmet:Originally posted by genus49:Originally posted by goldlame2013:Originally posted by Eli_23:We are seriously putting all of our faith in this rookie cuz our soft ass WRs can't do squat

It's called normal expectations based on training camp coverage and his draft slot.
If you have your HC raving about a player, that player being a first round pick and then you have beat guys writing about how good he looks in practice...I'd certainly say it's a logical conclusion that he would help the team.
He doesn't have to have a 1500 yard 15 TD season to do that either. If he has a Deebo light type rookie season that will be a big help. So will his ability to threaten down the field.
Either way we'll see what happens.
