It just goes to show how important a franchise QB is to a Head Coaches career. If Kyle didn't hit on Purdy, I'm pretty confident he could have made Sam Darnold and Joshua Dobbs as franchise level QBs on the level of Jimmy G. Getting Purdy is a lotto pick though. The guy is a generational talent.
It's insane to see a hall of fame coach like Bellichick not having a job because he couldn't get another franchise QB.
Cousins will probably be here, if we never found Purdy
Great point. That was the original plan then Jimmy G. came along.

He drops it in the right side of the endzone. The greatest throw ever that didn't get caught was that side too. Against the Eagles he made a diving catch on the left side of the endzone. It's weird. He drops it on the right.
Do you know if Aiyuk left or right handed?

I'm not sure? But his drops are almost specifically the right side of the endzone. Spectacular throws too.

Two drops 1.5 years apart is hardly a pattern, IMO.

He had a drop on the right side in the game earlier, had the drop vs Cleveland on the right side.. probably more if we really look at it

The right side seems more problematic. Catching with the 2nd hand which would be the left hand. The left side he would be catching with his right and he catches those.

For once I wish we'd make a player actually play out their option year and make then earn their contract

I didn't expect anything less. This always happens. If he doesn't get hurt he'll be back to form later in the season.
