Wirfs was the correct pick there. They'd have a Williams replacement in-house already and for a few years would have had the most dominant tackle duo in football.

damn i didn't know he held and PI'd so much

Where is the PI and holding? Only extra grabbing Aiyuk initiated the contact.
damn near every play. guy would get a flag every play if he played against the chefs

Crocker talking about how other teams are moving around their elite WRs and putting them in favorable matchups. St brown/lamb/JJ aren't just stagnant outside all game. Be cool if Kyle could get a little more creative with their $30M WR…and yes when you get paid that much you should just got out and beat the guy in front of you…folks gotta realize that even the top dogs are getting moved around.

Why....BA dominants the ASS.

Throw him the ball then.

Only they probably don't trade for Williams in that scenario and it's wirfs and McG.

Wirfs - 1 - 13
Kinlaw - 1 - 14

He went one pick before we picked. Sure he would be a great pick.

They traded down a pick with TB. They could have had Wirfs (lynch said it came down to Wirfs and Kinlaw) They used that extra compensation to move up a get BA.

more than likely they don't draft Wirfs and trade for TW. They also don't get BA because they don't have the extra ammo to move back up and get him (the packers wanted to draft BA).

BA is something to consider. While not dominant like Chase he is good when in shape. They wanted two in the 1st round. Which I understand. But sometimes you over think it. If an elite Tackle falls to you that should be the pick. Kinlaw was a total bust. So the argument mostly falls to Wirfs or Aiyuk. Of that Wirfs is better, solves our Tackle problem long term with a younger guy. Plus we have enough weapons and could weather it without Aiyuk IMO. Hindsight is 20/20. But since we pick so late in the draft now we don't have much opportunity to get those top 15 picks. To get an elite OT. You probably don't want to pass on that ever if you have a chance to get a young stud at that position. You never miss looking back with the knowledge they have now. They just lost Deforest Buckner. They were desperate to replace him. The thought was right. Probably the guy was wrong. Kinlaw had injury concerns that continued into the NFL. Plus he was raw. Just a big, powerful guy. That they hoped would work out. I don't think there is any standard where he was ever going to be Buckner though. They overrated that.

49ers were at #13 originally but traded down a spot with Tampa. With hindsight, they should have stood pat and taken Wirfs.

still wouldn't have made a difference... Chris Jones still abusing our guards

Defense wins championships

Kinlaw was regarded as one of the best DTs in the draft. That was the off season they tried to replace buck. End of the day regardless of the upside, they gotta stop drafting guys with legit health issues (especially in the top two rds).

BA turned into a damn good pick and that trade for Trent. Is what it is at this pt.

I disagree. The effects of a good linemen effect the line overall and especially the guy(s) next to him.

He's got the biggest drop rate on the team this year and barely separates better than deebo thus far.

id imagine well throw him the ball when he's open and able to receive it
The Cheetah just asked for a trade, BA and a third for Cheetah?

It w would be an absolute wrap for the rest of the League.

Nnamdi Madubuike is the DT they should have picked instead of Kinlaw (but I have great hindsight), and they could have also had Wirfs in the first. It's amazing how the first round is so tough for the 49ers, but they are great in later rounds/udfa.
