Terrible signing for the money - should have heaved him to Pittsburgh.
This may go down as one of the worst signings ever. He can't run anymore, can't catch and now he shredded his knee. $120 million for this?

He never was St Brown, Ceedee or Chase. Just watch the games. Those guys take over. Doesn't matter what you do in coverage. Aiyuk was never that. I always thought he got over paid. We are on the hook for huge guaranteed money now.

I'm afraid his best football is behind him.

Why? He has a game that should age very well. My fear however is that he can't be the number 1 guy in this offense.

Aiyuk will never be the same. First off lay off the drugs if you thought he was at Brown, Ceedee, or Chase level. He wasn't. That was obvious thorough the first 7 games. He should have never gotten that contract. Now imagine the same Aiyuk from this season PLUS returning from an injured knee missing 2 offseason.

He's done. We will eat his salary for the next 3 years and he'll be a serviceable number 3 at best. Our only hope is Pearsall develops into a monster number 1 and when it comes time to extend him, we can cut ties with BA.
Is there a way to just get rid of him?

Because I think he could be one of those guys that disappears once they get paid he's been MIA more or less this season & now with this injury I have serious doubts about his production going forward.

I don't believe he can be a number 1 in this or any other offseason he's a good not great WR when he's motivated.

It's a real big mess now.

No, not with the contract and the large hit. We unfortunately have a lot of bad contracts right now. (Contracts with void years, older or non performing players with too much gtd, etc)
He was never worth the money we paid him! Im tired of seeing this team pay guys after they have one good year! We did it with Deebo and Kittle and what have they done since they got paid? Average 2-3 receptions a game at best assuming they are playing to begin with. You can get 2-3 receptions a game with a undrafted guy.

I think hes about the same player quality as St Brown

Moot point most likely, because it seems like a textbook acl tear :(
Speedy recovery to Aiyuk! This sucks

It amazed and frustrated me when I would encounter the random person, usually on Facebook who was like, "Don't blame Aiyuk. Like you wouldn't want all the money you can get."

Yeah first of all, it's not the same. I would need/want the money to make a better living. And yeah Aiyuk is entitled to that but he was already making a better living than me. And that isn't jealousy, it's just two different, very different, tax brackets.

But secondly, this almost never goes well for these guys. The longer they hold out, the more waves they cause, the harder it is for both them and the team. You're not in shape, you're not in sync with the rest of the team, you acted like a brat and now you're probably out the rest of the year. But at least you got paid.

And know, and I like BA as a player, but he isn't that. He was pretty much completely blanketed in the Super Bowl.
Prayers good health for BA 🙏.

however are we going to replace his productivity this year 🤣🤣.
