"The 49ers entered Sunday averaging just 2.8 yards of separation at the time of receptions, by far the lowest number in the NFL."
This is a real problem with our receiving core and teams have figured it out and schemed accordingly.

Aiyuk was best in that category last year, but I think part of that was him being schemed open when the 49er offense was clicking.
Who knows what he'll be coming off an ACL tear?

This we all were killing Deebo but BA hasn't been beating man coverage so far this year. And when he did he dropped the passes. Even the Cardinals game the commentator mentioned that they play a ton of zone. But against the niners they manned up and pressed our guys. It's what every team is doing and KS doesn't seem to have an answer.

We don't have the right personnel. Our receivers aren't big or particularly fast. You can't scheme speed off the line and we don't have big burners. That's what keeps teams honest and makes people pay when you play press.

Brother, not everyone that disagrees with you is taking things personally. From a team building perspective, this situation was wrong from the get go. You don't see it that way because you were such a large supporter of BA and wanted him signed. You were wrong, plain and simple.
I was saying back then that players are signed based on potential, not past performance. His potential, and therefore his value, dipped every day he missed, every antic he pulled. And he admittedly made the process difficult on the team. None of that is personal.
Disagree with the post if you'd like. But calling people sensitive, hypocritical, or any of the other bad-faith arguments you've made in the past doesn't further your position.
he wasn't worth the contract. That was my stance then, certainly my stance now, and that's not even considering the fact that he won't play another down this year.
I don't care if you agree or disagree with me. Saying he put you and everyone else through hell…is a bit excessive. It's business nothing more or nothing else. My summer wasn't ruined because of him lol. I highly doubt yours was.
look if you don't feel bad that he wreaked his knee trying to make a play. That's fine. IMO that comes off as petty and not seeing the human side of stuff. But again you do you.
I see no problem calling out horrible emotional posts for what they are. I have no problem pointing out how hypocritical some folks are because they're so rooted into their narratives.
Look I don't claim to be right about everything, I know I'm not…If no one is allowed to call out misinformation and incredibly stupid/ignorant posts, then this place loses and sort of credibility…becoming another SM s**t fest of crap. I'd prefer that doesn't happen.
There's only a handful of players that are "worth" their contracts. Brock sure as s**t isn't worth $200M yet he will be the next man up there. That's just how it goes.
Stopped reading after "saying he put the organization through hell is excessive". Take that one up with BA, who admittedly made it more difficult than it should have been. Perhaps you don't like my phrasing, but you're disagreeing with BA, not me.
let me know which wording you'd like for me to use when describing player conduct like holding out, holding in, demanding a trade, rejecting a trade, social media politicking, wearing wrong uniform to practice, and admittedly making the negations process more difficult than it needed to be. I'll use whatever wording you prefer, the end results are the same. We overpaid a guy that showed every indicator of someone only in it for themselves, and will not live up in the contract.
Horrible emotional posts? 🤣🤣. You were the biggest "resign BA" advocate on these boards and are having a hard time coming to terms with how badly that decision has cost us. Assume my emotional status all you want…. The only clearly wrong opinion on the topic was the one that advocated so strongly to get him resigned.
want to spend more time on how wrong you were? Or want to keep taking shots in the dark as to how I reached my conclusions that have, coincidentally enough, turned out to be correct?
im pretty versed in this type of debate… its how my wife argues.

Is acl is inconsequential. Can get his production from any middle of the pack receiver.
his contract is the issue now.

Which is why we should have never given BA that contract. He's just not a WR#1 with the same talent level of Adams, Diggs, Lamb, etc.

He was definitely trending that way last year until teams started playing us this way. Up to Kyle to figure out how to adapt and get these guy open through motion, starting behind the line of scrimmage, something.

Cowing is a burner but Purdy doesn't have the arm to consistently get the ball way down field. He under threw Cowing on a play where he had about 2 or 3 yards on the defender . Cowing had to slow up and wait for the ball. I agree tht we need at least one big receiver. Jennings is bigger and look how successful he is against the tight coverage.

I don't care how he goes about getting his cash. Maybe SF shouldn't have sat on their asses for months and instead did what needed to be done to get him in camp.
it's not like this is an isolated incident. This happens all the damn time with SF. So instead of blaming just the player take a look at the organization and how they do business.
If you look back at the draft with BA, I had my doubts about him. I wanted Lamb and or Ruggs. I got mock drafts showing this.
Hell yes I wanted to resign BA, why the f**k would you not? Dude was elite across the board and had improved every single year. This team needed to invest cash in young talent and guys like Deebo and Kittle were past their prime. The breakdown of how his cap hit woks fit perfectly for when Deebo left. Made all the sense in the world to pay him and continue the growth of a good young WR.
I don't have to assume your emotional status, you wrote it all down for everyone to read.
Dude 70% of the posts in here are whiny in the moment emotional responses with little to no actually thought. Those folks are NOT capable of having a conversation that involves nuances and the idea that they might not be right. I never said that was you….like I said I got no problem calling that s**t out, we all get emotional but damn man, let's stop making this place worse by the day.
I don't even know what you think you're right about? I mean is that what this is about? Instead of being upset we lost a good player and feel for a fellow 49er…it's a big f**k you for wanting to get paid? Not sure how you can say you're right because he got hurt? The ROI for damn near all these contracts isn't gonna be good. That's just professional sports as a whole.
