BA is the player I'm concerned about being able to get back to his old self due to the injury. Thats why I think the 49ers should draft or pick up a quality WR in the offseason. That was a pretty bad knee injury did it not take about two months before they could even operate on it due the swelling?

I just watched a documentary on Gale Sayers. He tore 3 ligaments in hs knee when he was tackled by Kermit Alexander in a game against the Niners. He was able to come back from that even though the surgical techniques weren't as good as they are today. He wasn't as fast but he was able to play. So there is hope.

I think it will be really tough for him to come back to top form. It's a really bad knee injury as far as injuries go. Aiyuk relies on cuts, stopping, turning and changing direction. All of that will be much harder and less natural for him now. He was never a true speed burner like Jamar Chase. Chase is a 4.3 guy and Aiyuk was a 4.5 guy. He did it with really good routes and great hands. At least when in shape and ready to play. Not like last season.

Glad the traffic stop was nothing more than a misunderstanding. BA has never had any kind of police incident at all, good it was just a mixup.

He may not be completely ready this season but he should be 100% in 2026 assuming there aren't any setbacks. Sayers tore the anterior, medial and lateral ligaments and he was able to play aginn. Maybe not quite s good but considering how poor the surgical techniques were in those days it shows it's at least possible.

But an unnecessary one that highlights a remaining problem in society.

I have never gotten pulled over for that BS.
I had a neighbor who had dealer plates for like five years on his Tahoe.

I've totally been pulled over for that. For having DEALER PLATES. Not the actual state plate on there yet. Before you get it. When you just drove off the lot. They can and will pull you over for that.

Definitely not a mixup. They have a whole database for stolen cars.

Many states don't pull you over for things like that. If they pull you over for speeding or running a stop then they give you a ticket for dealer plates or expired tags. Cops don't have time to pull over every car they see with dealer plates or out of state plates. How would they know how long you've lived in the state or how long ago you purchased the car. In a big state like CA. it takes a little longer to get permanent plates. I now live in Oregon and I've seen people move here and not get Oregon plates for over a year. By law they're supposed to get them within 30 days.

LE is allowed, by law, to investigate anything they deem as suspicious. I am positive that you have been pulled over in the past. I have been pulled over for suspicious activity (driving through an area, late at night, where there was active prostitution). I did not argue. I answered every question honestly. I complied with every order or request the officer made. No beef. No back talk. No underhanded comments. I did not say or do anything stupid. There was no ticket.
Aiyuk is periously close to playing himself right off the 49ers roster. That stop should not have been a news item. It is now. Whether he likes it or not.

I behave the same way you did/do.
That said, Brandon did nothing illegal. He is legally able to record the incident. He did not break any laws with how he responded to the officer.
He was unlawfully detained. The police did not have real reasonable articulation suspicion that he had, was or was about to commit a crime. This violated his constitutional rights.
Let's be real he was racially profiled.

Maybe. Maybe not. You are acting like LE had no justification to make the stop. How would you know? Were you with LE when a suspected infraction came into play? Furthermore, if he was racially profiled, as you suggested, why wasn't he arrested? Ticketed? This is usually the end result of such an encounter.
I honestly do not know enough about what happened to make any kind of decision. You and I have both have experience with cases where LE lied. We also have experience with cases where players screamed profiling, but were later proved to have uttered a tall tale.
Knowing this, I withhold judgment until video is produced. Who knows if it will go that far?
