Brandon Aiyuk is a 49er! Pick #25, 2020 NFL Draft

Lets see how his down field wr skill set plays out when he has at least starting caliber qb play supported by AVERAGE ol play.

When given the opportunity he catches the ball outside his frame, has been open downfield but he cant do anything if for whatever reason the ball doesn't come his way.

Its obvious that when he gets the rock he has the balance, speed, vision to make explosive plays at any level on the field.

Part of the problem is the quick read philosophy that emphasizes getting the ball out fast. It looks like Kittle is often the first or second read. That leaves the 2 receivers and a RB as the 2nd or 3rd read. It's why the offense led the league in YAC last year because most of the passes are designed to travel 10-15 yards and let the receivers run afterward. It takes more time for a receiver to get downfield and unfortunately our QBs aren't very mobile and often can't buy time to let those plays develop. I'm not sure either Jimmy or Nick have the type of arm to put the ball over the head of the defender but still on target for the receiver with any consistency. It takes strength as well as touch. I also wonder how often they practice those plays since it's not a big part of their offense. I know I see throws when I watch other games that make me wonder if either Jimmy or Nick could make.

Need to get the ball in his hands, sweeps, reverses, throwing it to him would be nice as well. We have all seen what he can do and the ability that he has when the ball is in his hands. Offense needs a spark, think this kid can provide part of that if given the opportunity.

he almost had one if beathard and him were on the same page.
Need to start seeing this guy make some plays as a WR. I can see he's good with screens and end arounds. Need to see if he can open and make big plays in the passing game. I know it's tough for him because our QBs are not very good.

Can't wait to see him play with Jimmy.

Even with Jimmy we can't see his max value because of jimmy's limit arm strength. It will be the same kind of short routes.

I was so hoping to hear a Chris Burman "WHOOP" when he leaped over the defender.
