He's the best WR we've had since TO.

Agreed. Him and Deebo are gonna be a lot of fun to watch over the next few years or so.

Yeah, we finally have legit receivers for the next 10 years.

We just need to find our QB now
Trevor Lawrence maybe..

I wish. No way he falls to us

Soft. A better Pettis.

I'm pretty sure that you are being sarcastic lol. He's a very very good WR. With a different QB he will be a WR1. Next year he's going to be even better.

I am. But there's two areas he needs to work on. He gets bullied on slants and bodied out. Similar on deep balls. Not good at getting in physical position and high pointing even with those condor arms. He's physically skinny so he's going to need to muscle up and fight more in the NFL. He's an electric route runner but playing man, naturally, he's going to need to work on a few things.

He killed NE in man coverage all game. Dude get's open more than I thought he would his rookie yr and our QB simply misses the read. Aiyuk is visibly frustrated now multiple weeks and should be.

And no one wants a WR that doesn't get upset @ not getting the ball.

I gotta give Kyle credit for not effing up the position the last couple of years like previously. Not that we have all this skill before their major contracts come,...what do we do with it?

I was talking specifically about slants and deep contested balls and every rookie WR (hell, even pros) need to keep working on man. He's been very impressive otherwise though. He's a Kyle receiver so you can expect outside of Deebo, physicality, he'll need to learn how to get himself between the ball and the defender and win those contested battles more.

Totally. Love that dog mindset!

He's had what 2 50/50 balls this yr? That first one Jimmy through a couple weeks ago he should have made a better attempt at it, or at least tried to get the PI. That's all stuff you learn as you go though.

he's made his fair share of contested slants thru 8 weeks. Hasn't caught all of them, but it hasn't been some noticeable issue IMO.

You're talking about two plays lol. The dumb, underthrown interception by Kimmy to end the half last week and the deep in route yesterday.
Neither were his fault.

Slants and deep posts/corner routes are plays Deebo makes by getting inside the defender, bodies out and goes and gets at the high point. I'm saying Aiyuk will need to learn the same if he wants to perfect his balanced game.

Yup, just pointing out an area where he can take his game to the next level and be more consistent. I wouldn't call either a weakness but just not a strength yet. That'll come. Excellent excellent start to his career though.

Keep them. We will have a rookie QB, so that will help some lol.

As for going forward, I see the following players as the ones to keep beyond 2021:

Raheem Mostert
Kyle Juscyzk
Brandon Aiyuk
Deebo Samuel
George Kittle
Trent Williams
Dan Brunskill
Jason Verrett (if he can stay healthy)
Richard Sherman (prefer a move to SS over FS)
Fred Warner
Dre Greenlaw
Nick Bosa

I just hope we can win before these rookie deals expire.

Deebo doesn't have his hands or body control, in all fairness tho. Deebo's my guy but this kid has more potential.

But he does make those plays by getting in the right position and utilizing good timing to jump or body out (and much more willing to fight through bodies to get there). Probably not fair to compare two different skill sets. There are things Aiyuk does that Deebo could learn from too.
