How do you figure we'd only have CeeDee?

I'd take Kinlaw and Aiyuk over Lamb and anyone Taken after Aiyuk.

Agree - we made the right choice with Kinlaw and Aiyuk.

You both quoted me but didn't answer my question

Aiyuk is potentially great but we still need a top deep threat playmaker who gets separation.

They used that draft capital from TB when they moved down to get kin (and passed on Lamb) to move up and get Aiyuk.

It also gave them some flexibility to get Trent Williams as well.

Aiyuk is that. The problem is the lack of a QB that can throw deep. Mullens is closer to that than Jimmy so we will see more Aiyuk deep. I'm actually excited

Same here. He's a complete receiver who can be a deep threat and score from anywhere on the field.
No, we need a Julio Jones/Metcalf type of player. Emmanuel Sanders sort of filled that role last year. With him gone, we're hurting at wideout.

Julio Jones and Metcalf are in no way similar to Sanders

Aiyuk in his first year is beating a lot outside corners one on one, I can argue hes arguably looking better than Sanders on non-cut dependent routes already. Sanders last year was used as a prototypical slot receiver by the Niners

I know what happened. The post I quoted said "I'd rather have Kinlaw and Aiyuk vs only Lamb" I asked how he figured we'd only have Lamb. In the scenario that we did choose Lamb over Kinlaw, we'd still have the 31st pick and the picks we got for moving down and used to trade up and get Aiyuk. Again I will ask, how would it be only Lamb?
Lamb has been pretty invisable since Prescott went down.
Aiyuk/Deebo/Kittle/Mostert

We got the weapons on offense

The Garoppolo thread is depressing, but Aiyuk is looking like a hell of a player in his rookie season. And Bourne continues to improve. With Samuel healthy, the Niners have a really good core of young receivers. We need a QB who can sling it and this offense could be very good.

That's the key

BOURNE is not continuing to improve.. he's already at the max..

AND as I've said before, YUCK already is our best WR.. last year. we would have been happy at 3-4 at this stage but we did surprised everyone including ourselves.. this year, we needed talented players but the injuries did not help either..

Yeah Bourne is what he is at this point. But for a UDFA he is really making the most out of it all and will always have a place in this league because of his hard work ethic and personality.

I can see Bourne being a Niner for another decade as a 3rd or 4th. He's good enough to keep but not good enough to command a big payday.

I just smh when I see we need a Julio Jones type of player. We need an Ed Reed type of safety too while we are at it. And agreed, Sanders and Jones are nothing alike. Our receivers (starters) are fine. I'd just like some deep speed and of course a QB to get the ball to them. Throw in a big physical receiver like Hurd was expected to be and I'm content with the receiving group.

I agree on this too. If Bourne's price is reasonable, I'd like for him to stick around. He also would serve as a good role model for future UDFAs in terms of work ethic. If you could put 50% of Bourne's work ethic into the guy we just cut, we would've had 3 starting caliber receivers.

but that goes to every WRs who ever played this game.. With no real QB, all WRs are just equally capable.

Bourne reminds me of Arnez Battle - solid and a good guy.

Yep, now we need to get a top notch Center and a 1st round QB then we're cooking with gas.
