Every time you step on the field, you could possibly get hurt. This is football, not tiddlywinks. Some of the hits Aiyuk takes on his catches are no worse than what he'd see on a punt return. I agree. There are other teams who have one of their top WR's return points, at least on occasion. Taylor and James just aren't getting it done back there.

Why risk it for an extra ten yards on returns.

An extra 10 yards could be a much bigger deal than you're thinking. Obviously it could be much more than 10 yards and better possibility of a TD. I don't think the chance of him getting hurt returning a punt is really any worse than catching a pass or running a reverse.

I think they should try everything they can to get better starting field position. I don't think that's been a priority for this coaching staff since coming in.

I hear you - I'd just hate to put him in harms way - we need his production at WR.

BA is a wr1. Deebo is more or a wr2 like Curtis Samuel. More for gadget plays than a true wr1. Still going to be a good combo

Or an OL to give jimmy more time to at least get them the ball on most throws whe a young qb is getting ready to take over in 2022

We all want an upgrade at qb it's just some can't admit with a pretty healthy offense Jimmy plays like a top 10 qb and now he has a WR1 and that's more than enough to win a SB or at least get to the SB. Especially this year against these limited top nfc teams. I hope we get a rookie qb this year round 1

I love your passion but when you go in on an opinion you're rabid about it. You made it well known you want Jimmy replaced. No need to go over the top on knocking the guy.

Saying he can't get them the ball regardless of PP is crap and you know it. Considering the biggest pass everyone bashes him for was an overthrow...I'd say with more time to get their chemistry down he could make more throws than he'd miss considering that has been the case with him when he's had pass protection.

Now yes...things can't always be perfect so wanting a QB who can make plays when things break down or deliver a pass when pressured is understandable.

But beating down on Jimmy's ability with over the top statements which aren't true comes off super petty and unnecessary. The guy has done what he can for this team. Not sure why fans are so eager to turn on him.

Genus we get it you're a Jimmy guy...you support just about everyone and everything on this team. I'm like 90% there...However I'm not there with Jimmy and is overall talent as a QB. We're usually on the same page so much so, that people have called out that we're the same poster lol. Guess we can put that conspiracy to bed

I think he's a avg QB who played a part on a great roster in 2019. He managed the structure of the game and did what Kyle asked of him...I give him props for that. SF dominated the run game, defense and stayed ahead of the chains more than just about any team last yr...that's a recipe for success for a lot of QBs.

I don't see him as some elite QB overall. This roster is NOT gonna be the same team in 2021 as it was in 2019. Do you think he will make the team a WHOLE LOT better? Because he's gonna have to with that contract, lack of funds, and guys leaving.

Throwing out blanket statements like if PP was better he'd be better is stupid...no s**t, ANY QB is gonna be better if they have a clean pocket all game. IMO it's not gonna change his mechanics, arm talent, & decision making overall.

I just don't understand why you have to go the other extreme and make statements like the one I quoted? You said he can't get them the ball regardless of pass protection and then respond saying well yeah every QB is better with pass protection.

Them saying Jimmy would be better with improved pass protection is accurate, you yourself just established that with the bolded comment.

You saying Jimmy can't get them the ball regardless of better pass protection is an overblown statement which you KNOW isn't accurate. This isn't Tim Tebow. Jimmy completed more passes than he missed and he had his share of big plays last year when called upon.

Put it this way, I agree with your overall point but your delivery is over the top and unnecessary. You may argue it's semantics and maybe it is but when you're trying to make your point over the top statements which aren't honest or truthful take away from your point.

Sky's the limit for this kid, but where he can really excel is in the deep passing game. No one on the roster is equipped to really sling the pill deep, but if we ever get that, this kid will be unstoppable. We have a real WR1 boys
