I do wonder if we would have stay the course if Ruggs had been available. However, Aiyuk is a better runner after the catch according to stats people. Also, you worry about pure speed guys like Ross who was a bust. He also somewhat injured himself at the combine from running the 40. Wonder if that would be a sign of things to come. People talk about T. Hill, who played running back as much as being split out to wr. Well Aiyuk played the RB position as well. See a pattern here? Deebo, Hurd....Aiyuk. Traditional wr position and formation is not Kyle's cup of tea. Wr is not going to be playing most of the snap, Kyle likes to scheme and confuse with different packages and looks and personnel combo.

I like the pick, not so much the trade. Couldn't they have gotten him at #31 without having to give up any picks? I guess they didn't want to take any chances. Kyle must be really high on him.

Aiyuk was lighting up mock draft boards for the last 3 months.

if this guy bombs we officially remove shanny title as wr whisperer. a lot of his picks busted so far. no way pettis makes the team now. even if ayuk no bueno same story as pettis -- look too bad to dump him right away.

Bleacher report gives him a bad grade for catch radius. Says he "cant frame errant throws".

He was looked at as a late 1st early 2nd guy. Kyle has shown over and over if he likes a dude, he will get him on the team.
Not a fan of how this pick went down. Is what it is now, I'll root for the kid now that he's wearing red & gold.
