It wouldn't be so bad If he was actually good at returning punts. Unfortunately, he's even worse at that. He's currently looking like another one of Shannys draft crushes that has made little Impact thus far.
He's a good player. He has no coach and no QB. When he eventually goes to another team he will put up 1000K seasons.

exactly. Give Trey all the starter reps so he can actually develop some rapport.
Dude looked like he was wide f**king open for a deep TD but our QB doesn't throw with anticipation and needs to load up to throw further than 15 yards.

This. He was open just like Sanu for a td on the X Rhodes int. I'm officially done with Jimmy. Done as s**t! I thought he could win this game and the bears then Lance could start after but f it

This. He get's open, has great hands, and can run every route.

Shannahan is ruining his career.
Such an odd situation. The kid comes out and gives us damn near 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie. And all of a sudden I'm supposed to believe his work ethic is s**t? I'm curious to hear what really happened... after Kyle gets s**tcaned we will hear more.
Not sure what to make of it. On one hand, it seems like Kyle plays weird head games with players and ends up ruining otherwise good or serviceable talent. On the other hand, johnnydel posted a video analysis indicating Aiyuk wasn't playing well this year. So not sure what's up. But it's not our job as fans. At the end of the day, the HC and GM are responsible for delivering wins, and they are failing

It's both but he is in fact open enough to get targets. What is happening more often than not is jimmy is NOT attempting to look his way, that is the biggest issue imo. A good wr doesn't always have to get separation, sell all his routes or be great at everything. Some like Aiyuk, can be very good even if he is limited

Aiyuk gets open enough more than his production numbers show. He needs to keep his head up and work even though he's not getting the ball.

Yeah that's true. Jimmy throws balls to Deebo in traffic but rarely/never does so to Aiyuk.
Great job destroying this kid

The lowest scoring game of the year for the 49ers was against Arizona.

It also was the only good defense that we've played all year.
