the fumble sucked. But that catch was OBJ esque.

He has proved to all the doubters he isn't a bust. What a core we have between him, Deebo and Kittle.

I mean, I thought his excellent rookie campaign proved that. Although, a 6 catch 60 yard day with a fumble doesn't exactly prove your point.

His stat line was 6 catches for 89 yards 1 TD and 1 fumble. Amazing? No, but good. It also wasn't like those were easy catches.

I like Aiyuk a lot. My only issue with him last year was that he didn't fight for the 50/50 balls and seemed a little soft. He was a beast last game... all I'm saying is that his performance wasn't exactly legendary.
I hope aiyuk doesn't just become just another guy out there, i was hoping defense would have to account for him
IDK about this guy. I was surprised with the pick actually but we'll see here towards the end.
He has played better lately. Giving much more effort and fight IMO. Not just going through the motions.
Aiyuk is still young, last year I thought he was better than Deebo and look at Deebo now. Wait til year three. Receivers take a little while to develop usually. Lance has a cannon too so hopefully we see a few deep shots per game when he starts getting in there

it's the sophomore slump

true
Seems like Kyle has this MO with his drafted receivers...

1st year, Kyle schemed them open. Pad their confidence. Let them know their talent can belong in the NFL.

2nd year, he let them know to get the work in, little details that could get themselves open, details that will be part of the offensive team. Most of all if they want the ball, they have to go get it, fight for it, not wait for it.

There's 2 type of guys and 2 ways to respond. There are guys like Deebo and Bourne. And then there are guys like Pettis.

Which one is Aiyuk...

I want us to take more shots deep to him. We almost never do, it's so aggravating...
Aiyuk looked good Monday night, had a real nice catch, maybe 2, I can't remember if they were the same, and that TD vs AZ was amazing, Aiyuk has the potential to be a long term fixture at WR with Deebo IMO.

I'm hoping for that too. If the 49ers have two legit super star WR's and a super star TE, all it now needs is a good RB. Mitchell seems to fit the bill. Having said that, the 49ers aren't there yet from a consistency and win-loss standpoint. This next game will really tell us where the 49ers are heading. I hope it's in a good direction.

Without question - I just hope he keeps the positive approach and his targets will increase.

Been saying this the entire time. Aiyuk is a baller just throw him the ball. All this extra analysis aint even necessary. When we throw it his way "usually" good things happen. Prove me wrong

Yeah Brandon is a very very good receiver. I think last year too many people are forgetting he was doing better than Justin Jefferson the last six games this guy started. He is so good after the catch but Deebo makes him look not great which is weird because between those two and Kittle we are f**king dominant at YAC and physicality. This guy is doing a tremendous job run blocking. He kicked Ramsey's ass quite a few times. On the touchdown run by Deebo he was key as well.
I like Brandon last year proved he has a ton of talent if we can get him involved early in games even some jet sweeps quick screens anything to get him involved. Brandon has a ton of talent if Shanahan wants the offense to be even more consistent get him involved, can you imagine the numbers Deebo would be have right know if Brandon was playing like last year and getting opportunities, plus with Kittle this offense would be very tough to stop and with emergence of Mitchell this offense can be very dynamic. Good receivers want to be involved early in games Jerry Rice was the same get him involved and he usually had monster games. Hopefully Shanahan will see the light good always have at least 2 good receivers and a good tight end we have that hopefully the rest of the season we can have Deebo, Brandon and Kittle all playing well at the same time, Deebo has been a monster he is one the best in the league right now, if he gets some help look out.
