I also think his half ass efforts in run blocking early in the season is the reason for being in Shanahan's "dog house." I believe his efforts in both the blocking and route running are why he is starting to get targets.

This is also a big thing, he's gotten more involved in blocking, along with Deebo, Juice, Kittle, Woerner, the OL, etc..... It's something YOU HAVE to demand out of your WRs, need to block, it seems like Deebo, Aiyuk, Sherfield, & Jennings all have done a good job.

Agree, and I think Pettis never had that kind of *dog* in him, that's why he was always in Kyle's doghouse. Jennings is getting some blocking jobs done too. Jennigs did a number on the Jags DB (I think) where he got punched, ejected the opposing DB, and got a first down via penalty.
He's a good player, would put up good numbers if he had a better qb and better coach.

Undoubtedly, but the only guys better than Kyle as a HC are Fat Andy and Hoodie, and they are as old as dirt and one probably has a heart condition. As for a better QB, Aaron, Mahomes are the only other QB's I think are better (right now) than how Jimmy is playing.
He's playing a lot better lately. Much better effort. More fight in his game.
He looked good the past couple of games, I hope keeps keeps improving.

There's an argument to be made here. Right now for the 2021 season:

1 Matthew Stafford
2 Justin Herbert
3 Tom Brady
4 Aaron Rodgers
5 Jameis Winston
6 Kyler Murray
7 Jimmy Garoppolo

That's just QBR.

Jimmy G and the Niners are the most efficient red zone offense in the last 20 years.

Right now arrow is down for Stafford, Rodgers, Winston, and Murray is injured still. His play the last four weeks has been closer to his first five weeks than anything inbetween.
