Aiyuk so far has been the only player to get out of Kyle's dog house. The chemistry we seen between him and Lance will be fun in the future

What I like most about him is he's good at extending his arms for the catch. He's even better than deebo or kittle at using his full length to get the ball. He's a great security blanket even if he doesn't always set himself up for yac by extending.

A lot of buffer zone for the QB to make the throw in his catching arc.

He's definitely more of a natural pass catcher then Deebo is.

Deebo and Aiyuk are great duo but we need someone who can either take the top of the defense consistently (and catch, so not Travis Benjamin) or win 50/50 jump balls consistently. We get that and this offense will be ridiculous with Shannys run game

Agreed. Especially with Treys ability to escape the pocket and buy time for longer routes and for deep releases after the play breaks down. Really a completely different archetype than Deebo and Aiyuck. Jennings has the length but not the speed. We should be able to find one of these guys in the mid rounds
Deebo and Aiyuk are probably the best tandem wide receivers the 49ers have had since the days of Jerry Rice and John Taylor.

Before that? Freddie Solomon and Dwight Clark.

Phoenix called it. Aiyuk looked way more comfortable working back to Trey on off schedule plays. Far better than Deebo, Kittle or anyone else. More natural. That could lead to more yards for Aiyuk too. Interesting nugget from the game that Aiyuk has stayed and practiced with Trey post practice all year, so they have additional chemistry together.

I think the commentator mentions Lance said he works with Aiyuk a lot because Aiyuk was always looking for extra reps.

Rice and Owens > Rice and Taylor

I've been saying I want Marquise Goodwin 2.0 for a few weeks. Goodwin may be for some, but if we used a day 3 pick and had a receiver that produced the way he did throughout his career, that would be a homerun pick for this offense. Give me someone with elite speed and return ability. Generally the guys that go day 3 have some kind of issue, so said player likely is going to be eh as a pass catcher, will be on the smaller side, maybe a small school, little college film, etc.

But we definitely are not far away as a receiver group. And the good news is anyone coming in will not have a high demand on them. I have three player types in mind. A Delanie Walker, to take pressure off of Kittle in terms of blocking. Delanie was a big bodied, but short receiver, who moved to TE and had a good career. I'd like to see them get a bigger receiver and then there is the deep threat. Obviously these are luxuries, but can blow the offense wide open. Adding just one of the three makes us perennially a top-10 offense. Adding any more of that, and I see top-5.

With that said, I LOVE that Deebo has exploded into being a number 1 receiver. I hope Trey Lance can master the short passes so Deebo can continue to eat, but in Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo, I see two guys that can be 1000 yard receivers. Add in Kittle and I'd like to see an offense that can play to the weakness of the opponent. So against the Texans and Rams, it makes sense to have a strong run game going. If we play a team with poor pass defense andk.;, I want to be able to put up 400 yards through the air on the defense, with or without a running game.

I'm thinking that Aiyuk will be critical going forward because teams will be focused on Deebo and Kittle. But you can't stop all of these guys at once AND account for the running game + Trey Lance. Bright future ahead!

Man, I loved watching Boldin play football. Dude was just a bully out there, would have been fun to see him in this offense playing alongside Deebo and Kittle.

Boldin would thrive in that system. Would have been a blocking nightmare for any opponent.

I would've concurred except that ridiculous full extension catch at the end of the cinn game before Gould missed the fg was epic and also that one handed catch vs Houston

If Deebo cuts down on his drops we will almost be unstoppable

He's the only player that got in Kyle's doghouse that was willing to listen and own up to the reasons he was there, and to his credit got to work in order to make it out.
Aiyuk = baller. Period.
