Lose BA? He's not up for any extension talk for at least another 2 years, that's why I said sign deebo to 3 year deal with zero guarantees for last year that way they can compete for the #1 WR spot on the team.

Aiyuk is entering his 3rd year, we're going through this with Deebo after his 3rd year. What makes you think we can slow walk Aiyuk through his rookie contract, especially if he sees us give in and pay Deebo top money after year 3?

We can cross that bridge when we get there.

We're not paying both 20-25mil.

In 2 years 25 may be a steal. Trent Williams may be off the books. Salary cap may explode from Apple and Amazon buying tv deals.

That's with Jimmy G. Trey and his big arm is a whole different story.

I understand but until he is actually putting up 1400+ yards and 8+ TD's a season its just talk about potential and not actual production. I really hope he proves to be but he just hasn't yet. Deebo put up elite production numbers with Jimmy throwing him the ball so that argument just doesn't hold up.
Hey had a better first 2 seasons than deebo did. No reason why he can't pop off in his third year as well

Read your wording. He has the potential but he hasn't yet. Potential and actual production are 2 different things. I am not sure why that is so hard to comprehend. He could possibly regress if Deebo were traded just because the attention would then, all be on him. Not saying that will happen but it could.

Also, Deebo had more yards and ypc when comparing their rookie seasons. Deebo only played in 7 games his second season so that is not an apples to apples comparison.

No one expected this type of season from deebo this year. I'm fact before the season started he was considered the #2. Also aiyuk played a big chunk of his rookie season without deebo and with Nick mullens as his qb. It's certainly possible he goes off this year

Maybe, maybe not.

Maybe we have to pay a top LT to replace Williams because we can't draft one, maybe we need to pay for a C when Mack retires etc etc

There's as many negative maybes as you can come up with positive.

When you're a playoff roster you have to make gambles every year on things that may not happen.

For me, Aiyuk is where I'd put my money.

Yup he will go off with how much work he's putting in with TL. No doubt about it. Too bad we can't extend him now cuz his stock is going up.

I am not saying he won't have a great season. I really hope that he does. But to just say he will because you hope and pray he will doesn't mean its a 100% guarantee.

Absolutely right. But sign look good. Glad to see he's putting in the work with trey as well. Hopefully a deadly duo for a long time. Fingers crossed

I definitely have my fingers crossed. It is a good sign that Aiyuk and Trey are building that "chemistry" during this off season. It should pay off.
About to become receiver number 1, regardless of what happens with Deebo.
