Props to you again man, you seen what he's doing right now in him from before we drafted him. Would be amazing to see it all translate and put together this year!

"He's developing in all the stuff he needed to do to get better," Shanahan said. "He comes off the ball every play, he runs full speed every play, he's not slow-playing stuff anymore. He's not sitting there and fighting with guys with his hands. He's doing it with his feet, with his hips, creating edges by running, breaking down. If you want to get open in this league, you have to be so violent on how you run and putting your knees into the ground and everything. And that's hard on guys a lot. They do that like three days in a row, and sometimes they have to take a week off. That's why it's so crucial how these guys prepare. And it's hard when we're not around him, but B.A., he did it all when he was away from us, he did it all throughout OTAs and his body can handle everything he's doing and that's why he is getting better right now."
I love Kyle's answer on Aiyuk. Gave us a glimpse of what he wanted out of BA since last year. And a little of what he might've wanted out of Pettis when he was here.

Mims is such a bust just imagine how bad of a whipping boy he'd be if we drafted him instead

With all the hyperbole coming out of training camp about how our touted D couldn't cover him and he was set for a breakout season, where the hell was Aiyuk?! Was it a factor of not being targeted? Not getting open? Not being seen? A regression to his ghost season? There's plenty to criticize about Lance's performance, but also much to go around to the rest of the team as well. Certainly the O-line ( KS and Lynch deserve a verbal beatdown for letting this area get this neglected/mismanaged). The D breakdowns on crucial plays. Penalties. And maybe the absence of critical offensive components like Aiyuk. The question is, whose fault is it, that he was so absent?

BA should have had 3 targets with 3 receptions for 54 yards week 1. That would have been 18.0 yards per target and 3 first downs. GET THIS MAN THE DAMN BALL!

Its fun isnt it? I stand by my initial comment in this thread. Loved picking Aiyuk but dont think it was necessary to move up to get him. I expect big things out of him this year.

this might be a stretch but monsoon like rained games are slightly harder to throw in vs games with ideal weather conditions

I was ridiculed a lot for saying I liked Aiyuk more than Ruggs. Aiyuk was one of my favorite players in the draft. I admit that I also loved Jalen Hurd. The draft is a crapshoot after all.

Honestly I didn't know much about Aiyuk, and I don't follow college ball, so I don't go crazy when we draft or don't draft someone, gonna just let it play out, like many wanted West in the draft, he's not even on a PS at all.

I dont particularly love college football either, but I watch a decent amount of Pac12 stuff so I was familiar. But I am with you about not going crazy about drafting or not drafting someone. What I do tend to react/overreact to is drafting a position in the 1st round that I dont feel is necessary (i.e Solomon Thomas, Javon Kinlaw).
