At the moment, I just don't see him being someone so scary to defensive coordinators that you have to bracket him or pay extra attention to.

Of course, no team is going to make him one of the highest-paid receivers after his time with the 49ers. That's the point of my post. He'd being held back here, and I fully expect him to bank on himself and leave for a team where he can prove himself and turn that into a massive deal.

It's pretty damn obvious Aiyuk is not happy here. He'll never get the opportunity to truly prove what he can do here. This offense will never be the Chiefs or Bills. That's just not Shanahan.

I would be very surprised if he sign a 1 year deal elsewhere to prove himself.
Aiyuk would be Davante Adams 2.0 if he was on the Packers catching passes from Rodgers.
I hope they target him the same even when Deebo comes back. I think it'll open up the field for everyone.

Aiyuk is open so many times, especially outside deep and Jimmy ignores him. Everyone knows it.

He has gotten better every year and I think is an easy candidate for 5th year option and a contact after.

Id definitely keep and extend him now. He will absolutely feast with Trey.

Why would Aiyuk stay here? His agent will definitely be in his ear about how he is losing money here and could become one of the highest-paid WRs in the NFL on a team with a pass-centric offense and a good QB.

I'd be surprised if Aiyuk resigns here when his time is up.

All of the pass centric offenses have a top receiver, save for Green Bay. Plus a lot of this is centered on Jimmy vs. Trey. With Trey at the helm, he stays.

They will. He was targeted 11 times in the ATL game, 11 times in the KC game and 6 times in the LAR game. He now leads the team in targets (55), receptions (38), yards (483) and TD's (4) this season.

How so? We're even more run-centric with Trey.

Jimmy wasn't kidding when he said it was coming. Those two seem to be building a nice trust/chemistry for sure the past three games.

I agree with this thinking a this time. He and Trey seem close. We also have him for two more seasons after this as well to see how it pans out. By the time he is a FA god knows what the situation will be.

I like Debo as our game changer, but I think Aiyuk will emerge as our true #1 WR.

Trey has played 4 games. Do you honestly believe what we have seen is the ultimate plan for him?

Maybe we get to see it next year…I believe it Rodgers has opt outs after each year.

Rodgers seems so old and disgruntled tbh. He definitely is done with GB mentally and emotionally imo. Trey is our guy next year.

That being said Aiyuk would do wonders with better qb play no doubt you are right. Rodgers or Brady would have a field day with our skill players.

It's funny that you mention the Chiefs or Bills. I could see the Chiefs pushing to sign him if we let him walk in FA. He would reach his potential there for sure. Assuming he continues to push himself after he gets paid.

Letting him walk FA would be a mistake, at least try to trade him to get something out of it.

I would rather have Aiyuk with Trey than Deebo with Trey. So I would trade Deebo 1st. Deebo is better with Jimmy.
