I don't wanna lose BA
Too many uncertainties rn, making me cranky lol
I don't know why people think we can't afford both Deebo and Aiyuk. Aiyuk is cheap for the next 2 years and if you extend him he will be cheap in year 1 of that contract. So he will be cheap for the next 3 years. Deebo is expensive for those 3 years that Aiyuk won't be expensive and year 4 you can get out of Deebo's contract without taking much of a hit. Also Armstead's contract will be up I believe and Trent Williams will probally retire by then. Now Bosa will be very expensive but he cancels out Trent's contract. And on top of that the cap will be much higher 4 years from now. Trading Aiyuk doesn't make much sense right now because of how cheap he is and teams aren't trading high draft picks for WR's right now.

IMO, It's not the financials. It's the desire to be here. Aiyuk clearly isn't happy if you've been watching his body language throughout the year. I don't know what to make of the Tweet, but Aiyuk doesn't tweet much. I assume something spurred him to send this out. Maybe something between the team and his agent.
100% resign him. Can't have enough talent at the WR position in a passing league. Hopefully gets work in with Trey during the offseason with some emphasis on where to go/what to do on scrambles. Trey can truly unlock BA's potential with his arm strength.

I know what you mean about his body language, but on the other hand, him and Trey seemed really tight, didn't they put in extra throwing sessions last off-season? And a majority of the times BA looked annoyed were with Jimmy… and idk, WRs jump up and down sometimes when they're wide open on the goal line like he was when Jimmy went to Kittle that time—I forget who that was against. I also just have this gut feeling Kyle really likes Aiyuk's game and will want to keep him… but maybe I'm just hoping BA will want to stay because he's our best homegrown WR (next to Deebo) since f**kin TO lol

To his original point, this isn't a passing team though.

It would suck to see BA leave because he's become very reliable, especially as a blocker. Some of his downfield blocks are Massive part of kittle/deebo YAC. I was skeptical of him becoming a good run blocker but he's excelled. I hope we can keep him.

If I had to choose between BA and Deebo. I am choosing the guy who can consistently get open by his route running over a guy who depends heavily on scheme to get open.

That would depend on Aiyuk himself, would It not?

I'm foreseeing a trade In the not so distant future.
Do people really not understand what he's saying.. he's literally just talking about how good he thinks he is.. which is true

but of course it's always the same posters who think their opinion is the end all be all.. they say he's a diva, they should trade him, or they can't afford him

I'm guessing he wants to be recognized in the same breath as Jefferson, Diggs, etc. Stud WRs have some selfishness to them, and that's fine, we 49er fans have seen it before. If Aiyuk was paid based on his production, he'd be getting shortchanged.

Deebo probably won't command a huge contract at 33. Get Aiyuk locked up long term and let Deebo retire a Niner.
