Could not agree more with the value of great rout runners for young QBs..... ESPECIALLY Brock Purdy.

With a young QB, that has ultra rare anticipation like Brock.....having a dude be where he is suppose to be...when he is suppose to be there is absolutely critical. You want a dude who come hell or high-water hits his marks when he is suppose to.

However that is something that teams routinely draft.

To me personally, you trade BA 10 of 10 times before you let Deebo walk. I love BA, I want us to draft a backup to BA and have said it a 100 times in the NY game thread and on Deebo's thread. You gotta have a BA type with Brock, preferably 2 BAs and put Deebo in the slot and motion him all over gods creation.

I think BA is a tad more replaceable then some think, and I think Deebo adds more in a game the ball is never throw in his direction then some think. Any time a defense starts it's work week thinking..."ok,,,we gotta know where this dude is every down and match that" you have a uber valuable player.

However...
While Deebo's skillset is harder to find(big physical bully with RAC) his impact is easier to replace. You do not need a powerful runner, you can go small quick while BA, Kittle, and Juaunhhandle the physical side.

yeah...we will disagree on that

The pre-snap movement of Deebo affects the entire defense....

Other teams have tried to do the Deebo stuff...but there is really only one Deebo in the NFL. So I get the opportunity argument, but other teams are trying to do that too...they just can't find a second Deebo....at least not yet......

eventually the 49ers year in recap highlight reel will come out.....and so many big plays come from Deebo and his pre snap motion forcing teams to change coverage. Teams respect and game plan for Deebo. Guys all over this roster have big plays in part to how Deebo is defended.

Dude has rare gravity the way he moves people around on defense....

Teams in the past have created miss matches with motion. R Watters lining up outside, Shannon Sharp moving to WR...you end up with LBers following guys and that player ends up with a miss-match... Deebo has entire coverage packages shifting to account for him.
He might've overshadowed Deebo as the backbone of the offense if he hadn't made the mistakes. Made some key catch to move the drives. Some big play catches. But damn... those mistakes doe

Go off on the Tards and Crows

dude has his head up his ass this game, made Brocky look bad a few times, he was not dialed in.... but he'll get it back and be on track next game
Over 1000 yards for a second year in a row, and he has 4 more games to add to it, Aiyuk better get Pro Bowl nod, he deserves it.

Kinda crazy despite his miscues, he got over 120 yards. But I agree, had 2 bonehead plays. Caused the interception and fumbled for getting too greedy. But I wasn't too mad with the 2nd one, this team has a dawg mentality, he wanted that TD. But he's probably gonna be a bit more conservative with the ball next time.

I'm tired of the Deebo vs. Aiyuk talks. We are keeping both. Having both is a nightmare of defenses and its not impossible to keep both. We can do what we do because of the focus teams have on Deebo and CMC. Even Deebo's short passes and runs that don't seem to gain much, attract the attention of defenses and coordinators because they are terrified of a game like the one he had against Philly. He also produces big in big moments not to mention other intangibles he brings.

Aiyuk is the man coverage beater, the guy I expect to consistently have good games, particularly if we can improve the OL from C.to RT. Brock already shreds defenses with an O-line ranked in the 20s. Get that thing to like 12th and we will score 28 on a bad day. Given what Brock can do, Aiyuk can blast off into the stratosphere here, in spite in not having numbers equal to the other top receivers. I see a guy that can put up 1200 + yards on 60 to 70 catches (which isn't a lot) for years to come.

I honestly think it will end up being deebo vs aiyuk vs young where you can only keep 2 of the 3.

I think you have to keep young because bosa has looked so mediocre prior to him coming over and is making too much money for the production he was having.

They probably will have to let Hargrave go as well.

I dunno if I want Brock throwing to no established good route running receivers if aiyuk and Jennings are gone. That gives a huge question mark...

Depends on what Aiyuk & Young will demand in contract negotiations, timing of Deebo's cap hits and what-not.I think it also depends on what we have waiting in the wings when we have to make those tough decisions.
Ronnie Bell isn't Deebo, but could he develop to eventually take over certain things Deebo does in our offense? How confident are we that we can find other talented WR's in the draft?

At Defensive End, we tried to make it work with Dee Ford for a few years, but he could never get healthy. Now that we have someone in Chase Young, opposite of Bosa, something to really think about.

Watching highlights of Aiyuk at Arizona State in the first pages of the topic, I forgot he played with Jayden Daniels.
Daniels had already a really good deep ball.

They can have all 3, short term. The first real decision year really isn't until 2026. In my perfect world, we'd have 3 Super Bowls by then.
How is Aiyuk not getting Pro Bowl votes? That is ridiculous. He deserves one of the NFC slots for sure. We go beyond that this year. But still he deserves the votes.
