Well, it's good to be validated, and just a fun fact for everyone, since 1992 with almost 1000 wr sample size, receivers getting less than 110 targets Brandon Ayuk is #1 overall in yards. His Average yard per target is also number one by a country mile.
He is easily a 5-10 receiver, probably a top three route runner, which I also stated, and a few people agreed, but the majority of Niner fans just scoffed.
Aiyuk got snubbed for the pro bowl but maybe his asking price will not be as high when we extend him this year. That is the good news, but to have Puca in with his whole five touchdowns, and his what….. 12 yards per reception is a joke.
Anyways, congrats on having one of the most efficient seasons a receiver has ever had in NFL history and he also missed the better part of two games. With the highest average in the NFL he is elite
You are aware Justin Jefferson played half a season, right? And still only had 2 less touchdowns? If you want to pat yourself on the back because someone got hurt, go ahead I suppose.
Aiyuk is in the top 10. So that you can have credit for. Good job, sir.
Yeah SWH if you followed my receipts, you would know I was talking about Jeffersons's prior inability to get touchdowns. This is very documented. He has had way too many targets to be below 10 touchdowns that many times in his career. Aiyuk just gets open.
If you want to go by just this one year, I could say the same thing you said and be shortsighted by saying well " you are aware that Brandon Aiyuk got 20 yards per catch which Jefferson has never gotten in his career. So there's that right?
They are different types of receivers and I believe that Brandon Aiyuk is a better route runner and better in short areas, which is evidenced by his touchdowns per reception or target. Whereas Justin Jefferson per target is not even close but an elite contested catch wr. Imagine if we had Kirk Cousins peppering Aiyuk with targets, he would be setting the league on 🔥
