Deebo was targeted 11 times and only had 3 catches. Aiyuk was only targeted 6 times and had the same amount of catches and more yards. Deebo also had 3 rushes. So they called Deebo's number 14 times and Aiyuk only 6. 3rd and 4 with 1:57 left, That's the game right there. In that spot you look to either your best receiver or your best player. Aiyuk or CMC but it was Jennings that was the 1st read.

Good post

It certainly seemed like there was a concerted effort to force Deebo the ball early
Only a rookie Julio Jones type freak WR would help me recover quickly from the pain of losing Aiyuk
If he wants to win a championship he should go to another team. Ain't ever gonna happen with the coach we have. Get that money And a ring. BA is too good to stay and waste the best years of his career.
If you look at the ages of the offense's core, who on that side of the ball is a part of the future core if BA isn't there? This group is becoming old as s**t without BA.

Ages next season:
Trent - 36
Juice - 33
Kittle - 31
Deebo - 29
CMC - 28

It's Brock Purdy and nobody else if you remove BA.

I thought Deebo was going to be a great matchup for us in the game but it became fairly evident early on that it wasn't working.

My problem is we didn't seem to adapt our game plan. We just stuck with it and kept forcing the ball to Deebo.
We need to be looking at succession plans for Kittle, Deebo, Trent at minimum. BA should be non-negotiable and should be extended backload the deal and pay a huge signing bonus. CMC may have two more years at this level, RBs post 30 do not have a great history.

I would explore a Deebo trade post June 1 and Kittle needs to be a more feature piece of the offense. If he is going to block in every big game move him as well.
Just curious if the FO decided to trade BA, what could we be looking at in return?

How do post june 1 trades of Deebo & Kittle help this team get better, getting rid of two of our top 4 weapons would be a stupid move to do, I don't get why ppl think heads should fly, or guys should be cut or traded, it's just stupid thinking, we lost the game, it sucks, but wanting to see someone fired or traded/cut is ridiculous, this roster is deep, and full of star players, I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theroist, but I feel like we were never winning this game, Bill Vinovich is a horrible referee, KC were the darlings with Mahomes, Jones, Kelce, and the whole Taylor Swift crap, and no I'm not a Republican, so I don't buy that BS either, I feel the NFL wanted the publicity of Swift there at the game, and the Chiefs winning the game, but that's me, I'm not gonna come on here and say we need to fire Kyle, John, cut/trade players who didn't play well, yet had great seasons like Fred, Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk, etc.... Cause again it's stupid and dumb thinking.

And Brock is a QB that can truly utilize BA's talent. He is a priority re-sign with Deebo and Kittle beginning the slowing down portion of their playing career. Not to mention their nagging injuries.

Yup. I love Deebo and Kittle, but I never expected themto age gracefully, especially Deebo. RB's naturally don't last long, but CMC is going to have even less tread than normal on the tires due to usage. Ironically, Aiyuk is the one player out of the bunch with the style that is conducive to playing into his late 20s and 30s.

I hate the idea of a "rebuild," but we're not far from having to rebuild a new core around Brock Purdy

Need to nail draft.
Meh another wr crying in a contract year! Nothing to see here.

I'm probably late but what is BA doing?

Yikes that's bad. Sad s**t is they keep drafting rb's that don't work out. And Danny Gray has proved nothing.
