Kinda tired of his attitude, my fav receiver since TO but he says cryptic s**t and his family plain says he may not be in SF. I want our dudes to want to be here and if he's on the fence ship him out.

He said things this off season about how his numbers aren't that of a pass centric offense. Now this. I could see this going a few different ways including asking for a trade. I get the sense he wants to be paid now, wants to be a #1, wants to go to a pass centric offense and wants to go to a winning team. It's good to want. LOL

Bro, if he was targeted like our 1 he's have 1600 yards. Debo had 20 more catches and 200 less yards

He knows! LOL

Yeah but that's not how are offense works, we spread the ball around. If he got targeted like a true #1 I also assume his stats would be great but he would get doubled more.

Not sure why people think it's so hard to pay him? His cap hit will be lower this yr in an extension. Got look at Deebo's contract, avg the first two yrs is $7M. Do the same s**t for BA. By the time his cap hit gets crazy, other guys are not here anymore.

He's in his prime when that cap hit gets big. At that point the offense will have some fresh blood in there.

Sounds good but for whatever reason this regime rarely extends guys early. They will wait until next year to try to pay him. Not sure when they will have to Purdy. At somepoint BA's cap number will be high. I hope you are right but this will be alot of money spent on wr's for the team that throws the ball the least amount in the NFL.
What is his trade value.....would we get a first plus for him? Personally, I'd rather keep Aiyuk and trade Deebo and/or Kittle. I don't think we can afford to keep everyone and pay Purdy in a year and keep the team strong. Decision time. We also need to get young/inexpensive players on the team to extend out SB window. Really hope we hit well in this draft.

They legit extend everyone early. I have no idea where that is coming from? Especially 1st rd players that were giving the 5th yr option.

Brock can get an extension after this season. The way their deals are done, his cap hit wouldn't be outrageous until like 2026 or 2027.

Actually no there won't be a lot of money spent on the WR at the same time….again by the time BA's cap hit becomes high, Deebo is more than likely gone (or restructured).

his money will be replacing Deebo's when it actually matters and the cap will just continue to grow.

I think a salary cap 101 webinar is needed.
I wonder what avg annual salary he will come in at?

Kittle and Deebo aren't tradable this yr. Massive dead money hits on a team that actually trying to win a Super Bowl.

It makes absolutely no sense to move them now. We're not rebuilding.

People gotta understand the cap. Brock isn't gonna go from $1M to $50M in a year. He will get an extension and he's cap hit won't be huge until like 2026 or 2027.

By the time that happens you have older bloated contracts with little gtd cash. Those guys have either received an extension, trade, or move off them.

they can absolutely keep everyone. A BA extension actually lowers his cap hit this yr (they save $10.4M) his cap hit won't be "big" until yr 3 of his deal (go look at Deebo's deal).
I can't even thnk about salary cap stuff. I'm still getting over the SB loss and looking forward to the draft. I let the front office worry about contracts.

It's kinda frustrating lol. They actually save $10.3M this yr giving him an extension. His contract won't be massive until year 3 into his deal, same as Deebo. At that point both Kittle/Deebo are either gone, traded or have signed an extension.

We have WRs that have staggered contracts. It's not like we're paying both guys at the same time (like Buck/AA).
They need to think ahead to Brock and they may have some potential OL and/or secondary targets in FA. If it were as simple as just Brandon it would probably happen. I'm sure they are deep into potential FA market studies at this point.

That said, I love Brandon. Maybe my favorite player and more times then not chemistry with Brock. I hope they can make it happen.
Man, if they do trade BA, I hope they don't force a replacement pick by drafting a WR unless it's someone that's a consesus BPA pick. If you can turn BA into a blue-chip prospect at a premium position (ie offensive tackle, CB, edge rusher), I don't think many will be complaining.

Avoid another Defo/Kinlaw situation.

Hopefully they've learned their lesson.

True. Now do we think they actually extend BA this off season or next? Definitely better to do it now but they never seem to take the year early approach.

I thought they always take the year early approach for their star players: Bosa, Deebo, Warner, Kittle, all extended with one year remaining on their rookie deals. They were never free agents.

Next year will be that year unless he really wants to force a trade and the FOB honors it. But it would take multiple top picks to even entertain it. And rightfully so.
