Trading Aiyuk would be dumb af. He isn't going anywhere

Danny Gray being a fat f**king whiff is definitely exacerbating the situation with BA.

As was going to quote your earlier post about Buckner/Kinlaw pressure.

If they do trade BA and get (just saying a number) pick 17, they need to then trade out and turn it into multiple picks over a few years. Reason being a mid 2nd will not have the psychological pressure of filling BAs shoes. From himself and the coaching staff.

Fortunetely for the Niners this upcoming draft appears to be a very deep WR class. Worse comes to worse trade him for a late 1st RD pick and take a WR with that pick. Ravens got Flowers at #22 and Vikings got Addison at #23. No reason why Niners can't get a #1 WR in the 20's in a deep WR draft class. The more I think about it is we should never pay any WR rediculous money considering how many great WR's come out in the draft every year. Aiyuk himself we got at #25. Deebo we got early in the 2nd RD. Jennings we got in the 7th RD.

Bingo. This regime's first round magic beans were Thomas, Foster, McGlinchey, Bosa, Kinlaw, Lance. In rounds 2-3, for every Deebo there is a Pettis Hurd Sermon and Davis-Price. I'd rather stick with a sure thing.
They're not wrong, but damn, they're gassing BA up. If you're BA and feel this way, why you would you sign a new deal here knowing your next deal will also be hamstrung by the offense?

Imaging trading a All-Pro for a All-Pro , they failed to do it in 2020
Dan Graziano saying he's got a good shot of being traded so they can be cap compliant AND they'd draft his replacement in the 1st rd

first off, they're already gonna be cap compliant. Second, an extension saves them over $10.3M. Third, WTF with the draft his replacement s**t?

getting rid of homegrown talent, that's finally hit their stride and isn't even in his prime is dumb as s**t. Learn from your mistakes (buck). They can absolutely setup that contract to slide in and replace Deebo when his cap hit gets big.

Peacock and Crocker talking about the same "report" this morning. SMH. These ESPN idiots can say anything and people will run with it…

I don't think we can be certain gray is a bust. BA was in the doghouse the first year or two and didn't see the field all that much…. And he wasn't buried in a depth chart behind BA, deebo and Jennings.

Shanny looks for a certain quality in his receivers, one that isn't as prominent in college
They are going to trade Aiyuk, if they are offered a mid tier first. This mimics the Buckner situation and we would all agree the wrong person was moved in that trade.

Unless you can grab Nabers or Harrison I have 0 desire to take a shot on a rookie WR when we have a Super Bowl Window.

I agree, but I don't. It's one of those things where only time will tell. I think the roster is trending towards a lot of our players getting old at the same time. I think BA played his absolute best ball this year due to considering it a contract year…. Both deebo and kittle declined rather sharply after signing contracts (both regained momentum in following years). The league is full of receivers that underperform after getting paid, and overperform after getting drafted.

for all those reasons I tend to think a slight roster change may be in order on offense. But again, this is a topic best discussed in the past tense…. We could keep the roster the same and half the best year next year 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Edit: and to your point, there's no such thing as a plug and play player in the offense (not named mccaffrey or purdy anyhow), BA is of more value to the niners than another organization…. I don't know what to think

Keep Aiyuk, Keep Jennings. Draft a great prospect this year and next. Cut or trade Deebo after the 2025 season.
I love BA but a little disappointed in his stance. He's acting a little petulant and I'm not sure why. He said he wants to be a champion, so that will determine what he wants to do. Idk, maybe stay with your championship caliber team? When I see stuff like this it makes me wanna be the GM and trade him to one of the worst teams in the league. Just saying I would've liked to see the traditional "My hope is to be a 49er for life, but this is a business so I need to do what's best for my family". Man, even if you're lying at least give the impression like you want to be here.

Agreed, while no-one expects every draft pick to be a sensation our last two drafts have been extremely bad by any standard, and especially a contrast to this regimes earlier drafts. I also think Kyle needs to play rookies a lot more regardless.

I would never fault BA totally. He's in his prime and every player knows there is an end to their sports career. Living with that is part of sports, but I think a lot of fans do not realize/relate. Trust your agent and be honest to Kyle/John about your feelings then let it play out while being the pro.

I believe Graziano is a certifiable idiot.
