Now do their defense. Lol

Uh, they have 2 high priced CBs, just signed a safety that makes more than all of our safeties combined, just signed a high priced DE.

Why wouldn't they just a rookie WR and pay him pennies?

Why not draft a rookie receiver? Here are some rookie WRs recently:

Nkeal Harry
Quentin Johnson
Jalean Raegor
Henry Ruggs
Kadarius Toney
Trey Burks
Jahan Dotson

Etc. For every aiyuk, you get several trash WRs. The odds are a wr you draft in round 1 will not be good

The ruggs example is invalrod because prison

He wasn't very good even before that

And the CBs kinda suck, spending doesn't always equal good. That defense was trash last season. They just kicked A Brown money down the road for some breathing room. They are about to be the Rams soon

They signed a guy to a 3 year 51 million dollar deal and traded Reddick.

Thats like 1.5 bosa years on average.

I wasn't talking quality, just the $$ they are earning.

There is no reason we can't afford aiyuk

But that money could also be used at another position.

Not saying they're the same, but let's not act like the eagles are paying no one on defense. They absolutely are. And they're paying 2 WRs. And a RB. And a QB. And a TE. And multiple OL.

No excuses. Figure out how to make aiyuk work

We can make it work. The question is whether it's smart to do it.

My god we are a run first offense and Aiyuk gets like 5-8 targets a game. Slants and crossers galore.

I mean you can always use money elsewhere. You can go sign a high priced tackle, such as Orlando brown. Or a FA cb such as jc jackson. And so on.

You shouldn't let elite players walk when you can afford them....in my opinion

I haven't heard that term in a long time.

This right here, the Eagles have 11 players at $10M or more a year.

QB Jalen Hurts- $51M
WR AJ Brown- $32M
WR DeVonta Smith- $25M
LG Landon Dickerson- $21M
RT Lane Johnson- $20M
DE Bryce Huff- $17,033,333
LT Jordan Mailata- $16M
TE Dallas Goedert- $14.25M
CB Darius Slay- $13M
CB James Bradberry- $12,666,667
RB Saquon Barkley- $12,583,333

They also have DE Josh Sweat at $10M a yr.

For example, the 49ers have 10.

DE Nick Bosa- $34M
WR Deebo Samuel- $23.85M
LT Trent Williams- $23.01M
NT Javon Hargrave- $21M
MLB Fred Warner- $19.045M
RB Christian McCaffrey- $16,015,853
TE George Kittle- $15M
CB Charvarius Ward- $13.5M
DT Maliek Collins- $11.5M
DE Leonard Floyd- $10M

Note that CMC's average with us is more around $12M a yr, Collins is more like $9.5M a yr, while both Collins & Floyd likely aren't apart of their future plans, usually teams look 3yrs out with their salary cap, so the team CAN afford Aiyuk, plus Brock.

This talk about now not wanting to pay our guys when the Rams & Chiefs did it, and everyone was mad we weren't doing the same, both their own, & outside FAs.
I don't see him getting traded
