What does it say about Kinlaw?

-Raw masher with plenty of length that he's still figuring out how to use after transitioning from OL
-Showed huge improvement in his technique and hand use down the stretch.
-Limited but effective repertoire of pass rush moves.

Basically an athletic, ultra talented lineman screaming out for some top notch coaching.

Thanks for sharing!

I wonder where we can find a master DL coach to optimize his talents

Pac12 guy here.

Lots of deep balls in that scheme, that QB throws a real nice deep ball...also the most narrow built player I've ever seen, could dive through a doggy door without touching the sides.

And the conference has quite a few questionable secondaries, but that's common in all of college football.

Edit: wasn't knocking Aiyuk at all, just breaking down what the conference has to offer.

Offensively, next best thing in the 49er history. I've been watching a lot of games and highlights of the top 10 WR's drafted in the 2020 NFL draft. I'm not the best of an analyst I admit but you know sometimes when someone or something is better than the other. Aiyuk's skills standout and I'm not even talking about the YAC but his release from the line of scrimmage is INSANE. He's the best among them all. Even if he's not going to get the ball he's still beating the DB in front of him. His footwork is out of this world - he has unmatched quickness and burst. He always rattles and confuses whoever DB is assigned to him in the LOS. And when he releases, his speed from point A to point B is just unreal....no one can catch him that's why he won all his foot races. I'm not exaggerating and I tried to eliminate my biases when I was watching and taking notes but this guy really took my breath away. If he will have the same mindset and work ethics of those greats who played before him like Rice, Michael Jordan, etc. in the NFL, I think we got ourselves the next Jerry.

Who's that the AS QB?

Yeah competition wasn't amazing in the pac 12 overall Utah had a stud D. I'd love to get some clips in that game.
I've posted this before, but once Aiyuc gets the ball in his hands a 4th gear kicks in and that kid just flat outruns whoever is near him. Only guy i can think of who had that was GOAT Jerry Rice. Both of their 40s aren't overwhelming but put a football in their hands and adios. That ability came thru on virtually any clip i see on Aiyuc.

If he is as good as his film this will be one fun filled yr. Also his fakes on DBs are the best i have seen, well...since Jerry. He can get DBs so twisted up that you can just see #80 when he did the same thing.

I follow the Longhorns so i don't see much PAC 12 football. But when I first started looking at his films it was hard not to see the resemblance to my favorite of all time.

He's one of the skinniest QBs I've ever seen, but he's athletic as hell and a true freshman so he's got some time to put on size. I think he could end up being a pretty high draft pick when he eventually declares.

I'm certainly not debating his skills.

6'3", 170 soaking wet I'm sure.

The distance from shoulder to shoulder is remarkable, even compared to notable skinny folks I've known in my time.

He has no width.

I'm laughing having just said that out loud.

Don't bother unless you want to just watch Utah in the ASU backfield all game long. It was brutal. The leading receiver that game among both teams was a RB.

Thanks, Kyle.

oh wow...really? nobody else since Rice?

there's some WRs already outrunning everybody else, guys like Hill, Hollywood Brown, hell, Goodwin was doing in that 2 years ago. DJ Moore is another guy. And these are just some current guys. I think Aiyuk is a good a player, but he's not doing anything that other former or WRs have done.

Those guys all have 40 times under 4.5. You'd expect them to run away from defenders. Pretty sure he's talking about guys that aren't sub 4.5 speedsters

Ah. Well a couple players come to mind. AB was a 4.5 guy, and before he turned into a crazy person he was always running past most guys. Im sure there are others as well.

Yup, Brown is one of those 4.5+ guys that look like a 4.3 on tape. Rice had crazy football speed. Ran a 4.7 but was always one of the fastest guys on the field
