Well said. Jimmy has the chance to be the best QB we have had since Young. Jeff Garcia was a 3x Pro Bowler and was the driving force behind one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history. Jimmy isnt there yet. And really, there really is no argument to be made that he is.

I think he will get there. I would bet on it. But he isnt there yet.

Being from NY and watching that comeback with all my NY buddies

With all due respect to Jeff Garcia I'd put Jimmy above him right now or at least it's pretty even.

TO was the driving force behind that comeback. TO was also the driving force for a lot of Jeff's production.

How is a 3 time Pro Bowler below a 0 time Pro Bowler? Cmon genus there is zero argument right now.

And your TO comment just proves my point about how people base their opinions of a QB on how much they personally like the guy. Garcia was Pro Bowler on another team too, and he didnt have TO. Joe Montana had Jerry Rice. Do you knock Joe down a peg or 2 because of that?

Cmon guys can't judge a qb by pro bowls. Would you guys take Winston (2015) over jimmy? I certainly would not. He came through in every game... besides one that I will not mention. If you've watched every game he has delivered. Some games he sort of starts slow but He makes plays man.

We can win it all with Jimmy G. That's all you can ask for in a qb. Are there better qb's ? Yes of course but he's not so bad himself

When Jeff Garcia was making Pro Bowls, the game wasnt a joke. You didnt have 2 QBs sitting out because of the Superbowl or 8 QBs sitting out because of "injuries." I think Jimmy in time will be known as a better QB than Garcia, much like others do. But right now, I actually think its absurd to think Jimmy has been a better 49er. It isnt even close right now.

We bringing the Jimmy debates to Aiyuks thread now? Really reminding me of another QB we had. Come on STH, we already know that Jimmy s**ts gold and his game can't be scrutinized or critiqued like any other player without people interpreting it as hate or that you just don't like him. I try to stay away from his thread because of it

This all started when someone claimed that Aiyuk would have caught the throw from Jimmy in the Superbowl that went over Emmanuel's head. You are right though. Moving on.....

I agree. Give Aiyuk and Jimmy one whole year of working and having in-game regular season reps *together* and with Aiyuks speed -- that would have been a TD vs an overthrow in my opinion.

Its a silly thing to say because the ball wouldn't have been thrown the same with a different WR.

Yeah, I think Aiyuk runs through that pass. Sanders stopped on the route for a quick second, then started up again. But, it was too late - the ball was over his head already.

Yeah, he talked about playing through a core injury this yr and finally got surgery after the season. I'm sure he's finally able to hit the weight room properly now. IMO I think his weight will be around 210lbs all said and done (he was 205 at the combine).

He reminds me of DJ Moore except longer.

I love that comparison. I think DJ Moore is awesome, I hope he and Bridgewater get a good connection going.
I dunno about tying a QB's Pro Bowl births directly to 1 WR. It's kinda a respect thing they've earned when it's multiple appearances. Mr. 1st overall Matthew Stafford has had what,...1 Pro Bowl with Megatron to throw to for most of his time there?

If Jimmy G is replaced in a couple years for the next new thing,...rest assured that the same people that boost him up to showing HOF-level play will be saying he wasn't really a big deal in his time here because he had X and Y and Z.

No real evidence of anything,...just circumstantial stuff pointed out and on to the next young player to defend. This stuff is circular.

I don't see where he stops

If anything it looks like he trips a little at the end. Maybe his heel got clipped a little from the defender but I don't see him intentionally slowing up.
