Kinlaw, because of his talent certainly, but if he tried he couldn't have ended up in a better situation...Dee, Nick, Arik...talk about perfect place...and then the best DL Coach around, Coach K .

the pressure is at a minimum due to being surrounded by 3 probowlers. he will gain confidence quickly and be a force of nature once he is up and running at 100%

Hopefully this is a foolish comment by the end of the season but I'm more excited about their futures than this year. In fact, I don't think we'll see much of either on standout/explosive plays.

Why?

I think Kinlaw in year 1 will mostly be used to learn how to run defend early and free up Bosa on passing downs. I don't think he's going to be turned loose like many are expecting. He'll be learning additional pass rush moves and learning how to rush with a plan for the first time; and team pass rushing.

Aiyuk will be lucky to get 4-5 targets a game behind Kittle, Deebo, the Arby's esp. with McKinnon and Hurd//Taylor/Bourne returning to the slot. Maybe some screens for explosive plays. And with our pass protection, unless he's schemed up as the primary, he isn't going to eat much and will be playing 'cold' a lot.

I'm more excited to see their development and future than production and explosive plays this year.
