Lol

cant have one bad game? still the one of the best at his position

Trent will be fine. Some of you people are nuts or just enjoy stirring people up

Trent has a bad game (against a very good defensive line) and people want to let him go. Jimmy has a bad game and it's 'give him more time. He's still learning.' Every player willhave good and bad games. Usually the stud player they are facing has a lot to do with it.
Trent is going to be fine. Maybe he felt like he had to do too much because the rest of the online sucks!

This is probably the most ignorant comment I have seen on the zone for some years now. Do you seriously think that Shanahan and Lynch are going to cut ties with one of the top tackles in the league, just because after not playing last season and having no pre season in his new team he is excessively rusty? Or are you just trolling?

They don't need to "cut ties" with him. He's a FA after the season and will probably want more than $18 million a year. Is the tackle you saw against the Eagles worth that much? And don't give me that rust excuse. We're four games into the season already.

Four games into the season? Oooh. No preseason. No training camp. No 2019. Fortunately I highly doubt Lynch will make the assessment based on one game.
This dude got abused last game clearly that year off deminished his skills.

Remember Joe Staley getting manhandled by Chandler Jones? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME that we played? Yeah. Every player has a down game sometimes. It happened to Trent on Sunday, but that doesn't mean he all of a sudden isn't a great player. Chill.

Or Staley vs Clowney. Williams is still a top 5 Tackle

I agree, but I do think it's fair to look at a possible decline in performance.

I read at least a couple people saying this was his worst game as a pro, period.

Nobody gets younger in this league.
I see Williams coming back angry and looking to set things right after that last performance.

Agree. In the second meeting, Staley handled Clowney. People need to calm down, plain and simple.

Staley also played turrible vs Seattle our first game against them last year. Every single player has a bad game from time to time. The great ones just make it a very rare occurrence. Everything in T. Williams's past shows it won't be happening very often. The guy is a 7x pro-bowler in a conference with players like, Jason Peters, Tyron Smith, Joe Staley, Terron Armstead, Russel Okung, and David Bahktiari.
WATCH. THIS. ON. REPEAT.

And who exactly is stepping in to replace him thats as good or better? If you're going to make a ridiculous statement at least back it up with a solution.

I agree. I didn't HATE the trade but I knew that T Williams was the 49ers were getting is diminishing returns. The 49ers should let him walk, get a comp pick for the 2022 draft and go from there.

That's Lynch's job. Are we supposed to just give every bum on the team 20 million a year just because it's not always easy to find replacements?
