He lost his chance at an extension with that performance last night. Goodbye Trent, Washington was right to treat you the way they did.
This is probably the most ignorant comment I have seen on the zone for some years now. Do you seriously think that Shanahan and Lynch are going to cut ties with one of the top tackles in the league, just because after not playing last season and having no pre season in his new team he is excessively rusty? Or are you just trolling?
They don't need to "cut ties" with him. He's a FA after the season and will probably want more than $18 million a year. Is the tackle you saw against the Eagles worth that much? And don't give me that rust excuse. We're four games into the season already.
Remember Joe Staley getting manhandled by Chandler Jones? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME that we played? Yeah. Every player has a down game sometimes. It happened to Trent on Sunday, but that doesn't mean he all of a sudden isn't a great player. Chill.
Staley also played turrible vs Seattle our first game against them last year. Every single player has a bad game from time to time. The great ones just make it a very rare occurrence. Everything in T. Williams's past shows it won't be happening very often. The guy is a 7x pro-bowler in a conference with players like, Jason Peters, Tyron Smith, Joe Staley, Terron Armstead, Russel Okung, and David Bahktiari.
