He lost his chance at an extension with that performance last night. Goodbye Trent, Washington was right to treat you the way they did.

This is probably the most ignorant comment I have seen on the zone for some years now. Do you seriously think that Shanahan and Lynch are going to cut ties with one of the top tackles in the league, just because after not playing last season and having no pre season in his new team he is excessively rusty? Or are you just trolling?

They don't need to "cut ties" with him. He's a FA after the season and will probably want more than $18 million a year. Is the tackle you saw against the Eagles worth that much? And don't give me that rust excuse. We're four games into the season already.

And who exactly is stepping in to replace him thats as good or better? If you're going to make a ridiculous statement at least back it up with a solution.

That's Lynch's job. Are we supposed to just give every bum on the team 20 million a year just because it's not always easy to find replacements?

Lol one game and he's a bum the webzone cracks me up man if it were up to some of the fans on this board we wouldn't have a team because every time a player has a bad game it's over get rid of em lol

Thats all Bumcity does is overreact. Hes clearly a PBM
This man sucks.
This dude is complete garbage.

So happy he didn't trick us into a contract before we saw what he actually is.

He did trick us, we can't franchise tag him to trade him
Might be over the hill already. Looks like another trade that other teams fleeced us on. Dee Ford, and now this.
Perhaps we should shop Williams for best pick offered? Brunskill looked good at LT last year, and has not looked that good at RG. We could probably get a 2nd and 3rd round pick for him from a team in need, or lord forbid a 1st. T. Williams is a good LT, but he is still getting back to what he was. The Pats traded a 2nd round pick last year for half a season of Sanu, so a 1st for Williams isn't out of the picture.

Also trading Williams would open a spot on the line while saving lots of money to roll over to 2021. Wonder if McGlinchey would play better at LT?

It was for a third rounder and widely hailed as a great deal. He's definitely not playing great, but going after him was the right call. Hindsight is always 20/20.

STILL the best OL we've had for the last 4 years... today, everyone was bad...

well, except the FB, the highest paid FB finally scored a rushing TD after 4 years.. .after 4 years..
T Will is playing like a third round pick, guess it was a fair trade.
Relax. Everyone has bad games.

Not Williams (before that whole contract saga), and not two in a row. I think he's just rusty though, the athletiscm is there he's just having issue with power moves it feels like.

There have been a more than a few where either he or Tomlinson screwed up the protection package. Without knowing the call you can't say which. But it is really evident.
Honestly I feel he's the least of our problems on the offensive line.
This guy sucks! We got ripped off
Certainly not playing to the HOF level we were expecting, esp. the last two....many mistakes. His play has actually been one of the surprises of the early season for me. And not the good kind.
