Wishful thinking here!! But...

How's about we restructure Jimmy's contract. Get rid of Ford, Ward, Coleman, and Richburg's contract via trade/release or whatever better way to save cap space.

Trade McGlinchy for a 3rd or 4th

Resign T.Williams to a 4/5 year contract

Draft Penei Sewell in the 1st to play RT until T.Williams moves on after his contract

Draft a starting Center with that 3rd/4th from the MM trade.

Damn we'll be set with the OL for at least 4 to 5 years.

Then, draft a QB in the 1st round in 2022 to sit behind Jimmy for his last season or send that 1st to GB for Rodgers and trade Jimmy, not sure how long M.Lafleur would sit his 1st rd pick behind Rodgers before the FO starts giving him s**ts for that pick.

Okay dream's over..
If we lose Trent, I believe it will be simply because of money and not because we're losing franchise. Also...he's made comments about the OL being blamed for QB poor play. He may welcome a QB change at this point.

Cutting Dee and/or trading Jimmy will net them $30 million in savings. Can add another $4 million by cutting Richbrug also. Of course that means you're looking for a new C, DE, and QB.
I agree this guy is a must sign

I would love to draft Sewell. That would make McGlinchey expendable unless he can play guard. Getting him isn't out of the question with so many teams looking for a QB.

Yup. Richburg, Ford, and Jimmy could be on the roster next year and I'd still say use draft picks at all 3 positions.

I doubt that. He gets beaten by a bull rush at tackle. How can we handle a DT? MM is like a run blocking TE with no receiving ability to me at this point.
Lynch will def give him a max deal. You know how he loves to give players lots of money that hasn't played much for the 49ers.

which he is going to need for Williams, Bosa, Warner, Deebo, Juice, our Dbs etc...we have a hell of a nucleus that we need to keep together. One guy who is potentially good at best, and maybe be very limiting at worst, is not the way to go. The writing is on the wall and when broken down strictly by $ this isn't that hard to figure out. Long way of saying I feel ya.
Verrett and williams being hyped up? Good. Let them walk and collect picks.

Best LT in football..... naw I'll take that juicy 5th round compensatory pick that's where it's at.

Well, it looks like Trent Williams is the number one rated tackle in all of football! Per PFF. Just like I've been saying all along, he is still a top three tackle no matter how bad he did for two or three games. He has not allowed a pressure in the last three games. He is simply elite and I am so glad we have him. I want to re-sign him and all of you that were saying it might not be that smart to re-sign him or that he is not that good anymore, it may be time to eat a little crow.

He's an excellent tackle. He struggled in two games but since then he's been fantastic. I don't know if I trust PFF to tell me that, though, especially when they have Armstead rated as one of the best defensive ends in the NFL.

Then we shouldn't go off of pro football focus just go off of what you see and what we have seen is him being an excellent tackle and all too many people were doubting this guy. I'm glad I'm not one of them and I'm also glad that our coaches and general managers most likely aren't one of them.

If the 49ers end up with a losing season, I'm afraid that may really hurt the chances of re-signing Trent. He's probably sick of playing losing football, and thought he'd be playing on a winning team this season. If the team ends up trying to replace Jimmy, and having uncertainty at the most important position on the field, Trent may take his services elsewhere.

Every one knows the reason we're losing games is due to injury, only way Trent leaves is if some team offers him a contract too hard to pass up. This isn't some bad team that's rebuilding or a disfunctional organization like he dealt with in DC

So much this! I'm surprised anyone could have that mentality knowing we are the MOST INJURED team in the history of the NFL through nine weeks. Trent knows that as well. He's been quoted many times as saying how much she loves this organization and knows how good this team is. So there's no chance in my opinion he takes his services elsewhere unless we lowball him incredibly. I think 15 million a year would do it
