Yes.

Williams has played well other than a couple of bad games earlier in the season. You have to consider that he had no pre season to work with the other guys and little or no training camp. He came in and replaced their leader but had no time to bond with any of them. The center position has been a mess all year so they have needed to move guys around which messes up the rotation. It's really hard for me to look at the O lineman as individuals since there is so much teamwork involved in blocking. If a line can hold together for at least 2 consecutive years then they have a chance to be pretty good. Letting him go would be a big mistake for a group that isn't highly talented unless they plan on using their first pick on a tackle.

The same principle the boards are applying to jimmy also applies to Trent. We can't overpay for anyone at any position and still retain a decent roster.

If we wants to set the market, we gotta let him walk.

Jimmy as of today is #11 in the league for 2021 cap spending. This is with Dak and Phillip Rivers entering F/A so he could fall further down the list.

Agreed, if we lose Trent it'll be a massive blow which will force this team to spend draft capital in the 1st possibly for a OT when they should go QB or CB/safety. Don't think the window will be closed tho if they hit on those picks but it'll be much better if they keep a 1st ballot hall of Famer rather than hope to find a stud at LT. I don't think they'll let Trent walk tho

No way we let him walk. Aside from spending a 3rd rounder he is a top LT and may take a bit of a discount due to his age and desire to play for the 49ers under Shanahan. 15-18 mil a year is fair.

Trent will get paid but I don't think he'll reset the market and that first year will be lower to help us navigate 2021.

IT'S almost a positive that he hasn't played like an ALL WORLD, that's kinda to our advantage if we are planning to signing him long term... nevertheless, he will worth every penny of what we gave JUICE since we never used him to the fullest !!

Dude played 2 bad games and all of a sudden he's trash to some on here supposedly if you have a bad game as an all pro you suck and everything you did before is erased. Man if Kittle drops a pass or 2 and misses a block there's gonna be guys in here saying he fell off and that contract is horrible lol
