Money is still going to be the most important role in his new deal, this is potentially his last big money deal in the NFL considering his age.

IMO, the 49ers can/will be able to afford new deals for Trent, Juice, Hyder, Verrett, plus extend Mostert & Warner in 2021 offseason. Money is always a factor, but for Trent, he feels at home in this system, he loves Shanahan, his Dad drafted him, he was his OC, I'm very very confident they re-sign Trent, he should priority number 1.

I would not extend Mostert. Guy can't stay on the field

Good thing is that they don't have to until after 2021. So he'll be on a prove it deal next year. I'm sure they will keep looking for another able back on a cheap deal to go along with Wilson if they move on.

Jeff Wilson will be a RFA in the off-season. I'm sure he gets tendered. Mike Boone will also be a RFA from the Vikings. He should be cheap and would fit in great with our rb rotation. Dude performs everytime he gets a shot but he's been on the depth chart behind Dalvin Cook and Alexander Matheson. Boone fits our running game perfectly. I wouldn't mind them checking into him.

It doesn't have to be Trent over Fred, Warner is signed for 2021, they'll do what they did with Kittle, $15M signing bonus, only takes up $3M in cap room.

Agreed.

Ditto

Interesting call.

Yeah, and I don't get why people think we need to somehow front load a deal for Warner, won't happen.

Definitely not!

I think it's fair to say Trent Williams needs to be priority #1 for us as for re-signings, then a combo of Juice, Hyder, & Verrett. If we can get those 4 signed, and extend Warner I'll be very happy heading into the draft.

Check out the differences in how the two OTs get out to throw this block. I know McG missed the defender but check out the speed that TW shows off. The shorter strides and quicker feet are miles apart in comparison. The hard part is starting off in one direction then getting the massive frame going the other way. Big Trent is truly a freak.
