If Trent is sincere with that statement then I cannot see him going to the Jags. They're almost certainly gonna draft a QB.

Hopefully Paraag can convert a lot of that to signing bonus to mitigate the cap hit this year. Post 21' they are looking pretty good cap space wise, just need some savvy contracts this offseason

Coincidentally when the league actively started calling less holding calls. I'm not saying it's the reason but I'm not saying it's not the reason

Maybe there's hope for McFloppy.

I also hope we can keep Williams, but don't want to lock into a long term deal that we can't get out of for many years. When players like Bosa need to be signed in a few years, we NEED to resign players like that.....even more then overpaying for Williams.

That will be a problem because Williams won´t want a short-term deal and he´ll ask 20M per year.

If we let Williams walk the reality is that we don´t have a plan for his replacement and that means the O-line will get even worse.

The way I see it is that we can sign Williams to a long term deal and give him just around 5 or 6 millions this year with 2022 and 2023 almost fully guaranteed. Not ideal because we´re talking about 55M the next 2 years in one player but as I said, we can´t let him go or our starting QB will get killed.

I can remember some guys here saying at the beginning of the season that Williams was gonna give us a discount because he said he loves playing for Shanny
