Nothing wrong here. We could use depth/playmaking at safety. Moore wouldn't be horrible as a starter and I think still has good upside but hasn't shown an improvement in poor tackling angles.

We could either add depth and roll with Moore if we invest in another blue chip end or look to add playmaking talent that might have a little risk in the 3rd.

I think we should parley our 2, 3rds from Saleh almost surely going to NY to get an additional 2nd and use both on OL.

Fans want to have troubles on the blindside of the OL? Oh boy. Lets keep this stud with the money you save by dumping Jimmy G around 20M per season and improve the IOL. Have had the luxury of having Staley and Trent Williams and we want to keep it like that. Lets focus on a Center which we haven't had a good one since Goodwin.

"The OL is already bad so it's okay if we lose Trent Williams"

Some people have said he didn't play at an elite level this year. I have to wonder what an elite level looks like to those who don't think Trent played at an elite level
Wasting valuable cap space on TW will doom the 49ers. Use our upcoming picks to draft his replacement. Better yet, trade back in the draft and pick up the second or third best available tackle, guard and center. Do this and you will solve the 49er line problems for 5-6 years to come.

We have some of the dumbest fans. The highest graded tackle in the league by multiple metrics. Trent dominated elite talents Chandler Jones and Chase Young.

He played at an elite level? Really? He got creamed. What games were you watching? They must not have been the same games I was looking at.

The games I watched featured our first and second string quarterbacks getting hammered so hard, both were lost to injury. It was the same story with our first, second and third string running backs.

If those injuries are your example of "elite play," I guess we will agree to disagree.

Niners have done a poor job in building a roster that lasts. Seems the team has no vision for the long term.

WZ homepage tricked me and I thought we signed Williams.
Stupid PFF lol

I could pick out "selected clips" that would make Steve DeBerg look like a first ballot Hall of Famer. Selected clips mean absolutely nothing.

TW isn't worth the money. Period. He can be replaced through the draft. And, at a much cheaper price.

And your blaming Trent who in 14 games only gave up 4 sacks for the QBs being creamed. In no way am I saying our pass protection was good this year. But Trent is part of the solution to fixing that issue. You don't let him go and then risk having 2 McGlinchey level tackles out there.

lol some dumb fans believe Williams is not worth it? lmao unless you're in position to draft Sewell you pay Williams. These fans who want Williams walk should go watch soccer or something they can actually understand.

McGlinchey had an off year. I think we can agree on that point. Part of it was his fault. Part of it wasn't.

Shanny and Lynch have built this team through the draft and a few low-profile (cheap) free agent finds. They should not abandon this philosophy.
