He will be 33 and misses a few games a year. How much do you guys think is too much for a contract?

Cohn does make a good point. I also made the same comment a few days ago.
Willams may want north of 20 million per year. And maybe 70 in guarantees.
You could sign A tackle and another person with the money. The tackle from the Steelers could be signed for a lot less plus other FA .

There is always a limit. He is great but he isn't a no matter what type of player. If he demands $104 million over 4 years do you still sign him? At 104 you could probably get a very good left tackle and a very good center or very good guard. He is hardly an iron man with his missing multiple games per year.

The only thing that worries me about Williams is that he's 33. Hope he can make it through what ever contract he gets.

If they can't resigned T.Williams, they should consider moving up for Penei Sewell (younger version of T.Williams) and keep Jimmy for another reason. Better than getting a rookie QB without a premier LT to protect him.

What kind of comp pick if he walks? 3rd round I think . Also, Iam watching the Bills pass rush stymie Lamar Jackson.
We may not want to over pay . His money could really grab us some players. For example Yannick from Baltimore great pass rusher and a solid OLineman. The LT from Pittsburgh could be had for a lot less than TW.
My gut feel he wants about 23-24 million per year. And 70 million plus in guarantees.
I would not figure more than 3 years of service and 60 million in gurantees, Max.
I would happily take the Comp pick and money for other players.

Villanueva can be had for cheaper and is nowhere near the player Williams is and also isn't all that and with our oline it'll be nice to have at least one guy whose good. Unless Williams is asking for something ridiculous when he's going into 33 he will be priority 1 and will be a 9er

However, I will stipulate that a TW signing boosts our chances for a Dashaun Watson signing.
