Well, well, well...

I see the 49ers are handing out contracts to free agents. And, what's this? NO CONTRACT FOR TW??? But, but, but, according to all of you TW is worth $80 KAZILLION per year! Where is his deal? Why don't the 49ers just lock him up already?

Could it be that he just is not worth it (yes)? Could all of you who want to back up a Brink's truck for the guy be wrong (yes)? Is the demand for TW really going to be that high (no)? Can a better, and much cheaper, replacement be found through the draft (yes)?

No more excuses. No more, "well, we don't know what the cap number is yet, so that's why he isn't signed." No more BS. The 49ers ARE signing players. The 49ers are handing out some fiscal rewards. Brunskill and EMan are examples of this.

So? Where's the big money for TW? Why isn't he signed? Why haven't the 49ers extended an offer? Why are they willing to let him test free agent waters???

If the niners sign Trent Williams for what about 21 million per year on a three or four your deal whatever it may be are you going to come back in here and admit you were wrong? Thanks

Yes

Will you?

You really going to say that? That is hilarious

Don't know about that last comment from the peanut gallery.....but of course I will. Although now it's looking like who the hell knows. I may have to eat a whole crow pie after betting Russel Wilson stays with Seattle

did i quote you?

I prefer the option of Trent as well but Fisher I think would be a very good option if we loose out on Trent to another team.

How is Eric Fisher a second rate player? He was a #1 overall pick. He has been selected to multiple pro-bowls. He has helped his team reach back to back super bowls. Also he Is only 30 years old. In 2020 he only had 3 penalties and only gave up 3 sacks. How is that second rate? Trent Williams in case anyone is curious had 10 penalties and 4 sacks. That stat is also with Fisher having played 90 more offensive snaps then Trent. I get there is more risk involved with Fisher but he Is a hell of a tackle.

Niners also said things like that about richburg, Blair, etc. He's not going to be ready for the start of the season, regardless of what a gm says
I'm sure they're working like crazy to get something done this weekend. They don't want him to go on the market where teams can drive his price up. He said he wants to stay here. Now we'll see how much of that is true.

I didn't know you were his Doctor. Richburg and Blair had different injuries. But Yes, what happened to them could happen to Fisher. There are no Guarantees. I get it if you just simply don't want them to take the chance on an Injured player. Especially with this team's history. He is a risk and you would need to protect yourself in his contract in the event he was not ever able to recover. But you do not know If he will be ready for the start of the season, a couple of weeks into the season, or miss the entire season. The best thing you can go off of is was what his team said, and that was that they were hopeful for mid-August. You wouldn't say that unless there was at least some sort of chance of it.

They'll win 9 or 10 games and next year's QB class isn't considered as strong as this class.
I'm hoping the savings on our retiring center will lock up Williams.

My personal gut feeling is we'll keep him, but he's going to refuse to sign anything before Monday. He'll want to get a big offer from the Colts to squeeze as much out of us as he can.

I think he's worth $20M a year, but don't be surprised if he gets $22.5M a year.
he'll get more than 20million/yr. I would guess it's a 4 yr 100million dollar deal that's more like 22million for 3 years in reality.
